I disagree. While Sununu would definitely help Republicans mitigate the fundamentals, I think the generic ballot will still be solidly in Democrats’ favor. It remains to be seen whether 2026 will be a wave year, but right now it looks like the worst-case scenario for Democrats is around D+4 to D+5.

Considering how insanely gerrymandered Wisconsin is, they would immediately redraw the congressional district map. So the gubernatorial race has national implications as well.

The Chat Control 2.0 proposes scanning messages before they are encrypted and sent. It’s an asinine proposal and is effectively mass surveillance. Thankfully that isn’t what passed today.

What happened today is called Chat Control 1.0. It allows providers to voluntarily scan unencrypted messages. It doesn’t affect end to end encryption. And it isn’t mandatory.

Chat Control 1.0 was already temporarily in effect previously and it expired in April. Today the EU Parliament did not reinstate it, but they failed to reject an urgent procedure that allows the extension proposal to be considered and voten rapidly. Unfortunately, a simple majority was not enough to block the urgent procedure.

But that doesn’t mean Chat Control is back in effect. The EU Parliament will still vote on expanding it. If the MEPs vote as they did today, it will be rejected. So hopefully, NO Chat Control 1.0 anymore.

Farage himself never denied taking the money or failing to declare it. He changed his story: first saying it was a personal unconditional gift, then that it was for his security, and finally that it was a reward for Brexit. It’s laughable how you manage to hallucinate a conspiracy by the establishment against Farage when the facts of the matter are clear as crystal.

But it doesn’t let the Congress redefine what the ammendment means. The SCOTUS has already ruled that 14th Ammendment guarantees birthright citizenship.

@ButkeThomas @MikeLevin Even if the Congress were to change 8 U.S.C. § 1401(a), the SCOTUS decision that the EO violated the 14th Ammendment would still be 5-4. Only thing it would accomlish would be to get Kavanaugh to vote with the minority.

Tutunamayabilir değil tutunamaz. Parti Meclisinde Özgür Özel’in çoğunluğu var. KK PM olmadan MYK oluşturamayacak. YDK ortadan ikiye ayrılmış vaziyette. PM veya MYK olmadan kimseyi YDK’ya sevk edemez.

İl ve ilçe teşkilatlarında neredeyse hiç desteği yok. CHP milletvekilleri’nin ezici çoğunluğu Özel’in arkasında. 38. Kurultay’da KK’yı destekleyen bir sürü milletvekili, parti yetkilisi vs. bu sefer Özel’in arkasında. Belediye başkanları Özel’in arkasında. Yine partinin tabanı Özel’in arkasında.

Gürsel Erol ve Ali Öztunç gibi KK’ya yakın isimler bile geri adım attı, kurultay çağrısında bulundular. Çünkü onlar da fark etti, KK tutunamayacak. Kariyerlerini kurtarmaya çalışıyorlar. Hiç bir muhalefet partisinin desteğini de alamadı.

Bayramdan sonra noterler açılınca olağanüstü kurultay için delegeler imza toplamaya başlayacaklar. Salt çoğunluk imza toplayınca 45 gün içinde seçimli kurultaya gitme zorunluluğu var. Ertelemek için de yapabileceği hiç bir şey yok.

Partinin hiçbir organını kontrölü onun elinde değil. Delegelere şaibeli diyip mahkeme kararı çıkartmaya çalışırsa, Özel ve ekibi önce ilçe sonra il kongrelerini yeniletirler. Bir tane butlancı delege bırakmazlar partide.

Genel başkanlığı ele geçirmek, bu kadar büyük bir partinin kontrolünü ele geçirmeye yetmez.
