@BristolLibrary This situ is ridiculous! The closures have been happening for a year now. I’ve given up going to lockleaze library. It’s a negative spiral as less support means less opening. Soon, permanent closure in needy parts of Bristol. Sort it out! @David_on_a_bike
@leewightman12@David_on_a_bike I wouldn’t be able to get through with my baby in the bike trailer…. Bike is more convenient, quicker and cheaper than the bus.
@camcitco I reported a leak in my building block’s roof to you 3 weeks ago. Damage from water going into bathroom light. Today, following more rain, there is water in the kitchen lights. No repair and I’m left with an electrician and decorator bill. Unacceptable!
@HMRCcustomers@HMRCgovuk @PregnantScrewed No matter what the payment was, it would not have come out of PAYE because I earned to little on maternity pay. I was not notified at any point that I had an outstanding balance.
@HMRCcustomers@HMRCgovuk on doing my tax return 2 days ago, I discovered tax I was expecting to pay by 31/1/24 is overdue now. A consequence of previous > £1000 tax & being on maternity this year. No PAYE & no email/txt prompting payment. Now charged interest @PregnantScrewed
@HMRCcustomers@HMRCgovuk @PregnantScrewed The issue here is that the system has not taken into account the effects of maternity pay. I have been penalised for having a baby. It is discrimination. Happy to resolve this by removing the interest penalties (£5 ish) and setting a new payment deadline of 31/1/24
@HMRCcustomers@HMRCgovuk @PregnantScrewed Yes, overdue b4 I even filed my return. Helpline not helpful. 50 mins waiting and then they did nothing. Still overdue, still got unfair interest charges, still have a payment to make that I wasn’t expecting to pay till 31/1/24. Complaint made but doesn’t solve immediate problem
@HMRCcustomers@HMRCgovuk @PregnantScrewed I don’t remember. never had this happen before. I think it’s usually settled in my PAYE. But because I was on mat leave, I didn’t pay anything in PAYE. I do not believe I should have to pay the interest fees because of this. It is a penalty for being on mat and having reduced pay
2022-23 I always pay off my tax by 31/1 deadline that tax is due. This time it was due before I even did my tax return. The charged interest is a penalty on me having a reduced wage this year from being on mat leave.
@darrenpjones Hi Darren. We are very sad to lose you in the upcoming boundary change. Who would you vote for as the new Bristol north east labour candidate?
Context is important:
There are 1,000,000 more pupils in school compared with 2010, so the 27,000 teachers mean that's 1 per 37 pupils - so not enough to maintain the same pupil:staff ratio as 2010.
The percentage of primary school pupils that met the expected standard in SAT's dropped 2% just today despite lowering the pass mark from 29 to 24.
A significant number of the current Outstanding schools were awarded this pre-2010.
You have changed OFSTED frameworks three times since 2010.
