Remember Bruno a year ago also did an interview saying the board wanted him out and it was only Amorim who showed him respect and persuaded him to stay. Let's not get it twisted here. The club is a mess
"Jason Wilcox has just been f*cking OWNED!" 💀
"A serving player has said what we've been saying for a few years!" 🗣️
An ELATED Mark reacts to Lisandro Martinez's BOMBSHELL interview! 💣
Rangnick and Amorim called out the issues at the club and were got rid of. Expect Martinez to follow the same path. Just grateful for a serving player to finally say what the fans have been thinking for ten years
Nobody is talking about Carrick winning percentage as a permanent manager 😂😂
What changed because y'all kept on reminding us about Amorim percentage 😂😂
For Man United fans calling for Conte’s appointment, the last time we had a manager who is much interested in fitness;
He joined mid season, Rashford pulled out, Mainoo wasn’t doing enough in training, and after two training sessions he said we were going to suffer because the team overall fitness is nothing to write home about. Y’all clamored for his sacking and labeled him the worst manager in the club’s history.
English Media and Pundits: why don’t u play Mainoo?
Ruben Amorim: I want a midfielder who can run always, or know where and when to be to stop opposition attacks, that is why I play Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes. Mainoo is good but he isn’t there yet.
Fans: he is a bad manager, he wants to waste our academy talent.
Carrick: Puts Mainoo but our midfield is still getting ripped always by opponents, always relying on Counter attacks. “Our team is very good to compete for titles”.
….. Looses matches
Fans: It’s the fault of INEOS, they didn’t get Carrick a midfielder and a left back.
Hypocrites
For those of you comfortably claiming that you do not need to physically invade the heavily fortified Aso Rock Presidential Villa to remove the President via a military coup, I desperately need you to pause and ask yourselves one simple, logical question.
Why exactly has there never been a single, successful major coup in Nigeria since Olusegun Obasanjo captured power in 1999?
Let us even admit for a second that the elite security detail, the anti-aircraft batteries, and the geographical granite fortification in Abuja are somehow not enough to stop a coup, and that a military takeover can still magically happen even when the head of state is completely outside the country.
Now ask yourself: why is it that despite the suffocating hardship, the hyperinflation, and the brutal economic terrorism that this so-called western democracy has brought upon us since the Fourth Republic, why is it that no major coups have occurred in Nigeria, unlike the bloody, frequent takeovers of the past? What exactly has structurally changed, and why is the military no longer violently interfering in the political arena of Nigeria, despite the widespread, undeniable hardship that has condemned more than 65% of Nigerians to live in severe, multidimensional poverty?
I will tell you exactly what has changed. The military structure in Nigeria that exists today is absolutely not the same radical, highly politicized military structure that gave birth to ruthless coup strategists like Sani Abacha, Chukwuma Nzeogwu, Murtala Muhammed, Ibrahim Babangida, and Gideon Orkar.
When Obasanjo came to power in 1999, in a desperate bid to consolidate absolute power and coup-proof his regime, he immediately contracted Military Professional Resources Inc. (MPRI), a U.S. based defense firm of retired American generals, to ruthlessly audit the armed forces, purge the ranks, and retrain the entire officer cadre. To this end, the traditional training curricula at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) in Jaji, which were previously heavily grounded in regime preservation, political maneuvering, tactical subversion, and absolute military supremacy, were completely, systematically overhauled. Cadets and mid-level officers were now being aggressively inculcated with Western doctrines emphasizing constitutional supremacy, civilian oversight, human rights compliance, and the absolute, non-negotiable prohibition of political interference. This means that the raw, power-grabbing tactics that people like Abacha learned during their glory days at the academy are completely, fundamentally different from the pacified, bureaucratic doctrines being taught today to our newly commissioned officers.
But you must deeply understand that Obasanjo's ruthless campaign to cement Western liberal democracy in Nigeria did not merely end at this complete overhaul of the ideological foundations of the military. On June 11, 1999, Obasanjo went significantly further, forcefully retiring 93 highly influential senior military officers in a single sweep. Furthermore, by early 2000, Obasanjo engaged in an even bigger, more aggressive retirement campaign, purging almost 200 high-profile military officers, intelligence chiefs, and tactical commanders who were proud graduates of the old system, a system that actively encouraged the military to step in, seize power, and ease civilian hardships should a rogue, corrupt civilian element climb to power. So basically, more than 50 percent of the old, battle-hardened military architecture, the exact men who possessed the raw military intelligence, commanded fierce loyalty among lower-rank officers, controlled the armories, and possessed actual revolutionary training, were permanently, violently purged from the military.
Our structural problem right now is not even limited to the ideological overhaul of the military officers. Obasanjo also aggressively spearheaded the total civilianization of the Ministry of Defence. In the past, the Nigerian Ministry of Defence was heavily militarized, fiercely independent, and headed exclusively by high-ranking, active-duty military generals who answered only to the Head of State. But all of these power dynamics completely changed under the Obasanjo regime. Today, the Ministry of Defence has been deliberately configured, castrated, and redesigned to provide strict civilian oversight, bureaucratic bottlenecks, and democratic control over the armed forces. Today, the top cabinet-level positions are occupied by suit-wearing civilians, career politicians, and party loyalists, and even if a military officer is ever selected to head that institution, the law strictly demands that they are forcefully retired from active service first. Obasanjo also strategically transferred the absolute budgetary power of the military directly to the National Assembly. For the first time in over three decades, powerful military service chiefs now have to physically appear before corrupt civilian lawmakers, beg for funding, and defend their operational budgets, troop allowances, and equipment procurement. This massive institutional overhaul by the Obasanjo regime was absolutely necessary to permanently eliminate the possibility of a top-down, highly coordinated coup led by a high-ranking military officer, thereby cementing Western democracy in Nigeria.
I have already explained in detail why even the close security detail surrounding the president cannot be easily compromised. The regular military has been completely stripped of its historical role to protect the inner circles of the president. They are strictly relegated to protecting the outer peripheral zones, the highway checkpoints, and the distant perimeter of the presidential villa, while the highly vetted, heavily compartmentalized Department of State Services (DSS) is exclusively tasked with the direct, intimate protection of the president.
Now, this only covers the ideological and institutional reforms. We have not even begun to analyze the massive intelligence restructuring of Nigeria, or the deliberate, highly lucrative integration of the military top brass into the elite capitalist structures of the country, where senior military officers now sit on corporate boards, own massive luxury real estate portfolios in Dubai, secure multi-billion-Naira defense contracts, control private shipping lines, and pocket endless billions in unaccounted security votes. Beyond this financial capture, we have not even talked about the terrifying surveillance architecture and digital intelligence posturing of the modern Nigerian state. In a desperate bid to crush political dissent, monitor opposition, and retain absolute power, successive Nigerian civilian presidents have spent billions of dollars purchasing highly advanced, military-grade spy tools like Pegasus spyware, Cellebrite extraction devices, FinFisher malware, biometric tracking systems, and deep-packet inspection software directly from American and Israeli surveillance firms. This mathematically means that any future coup plotters would desperately need superior, highly encrypted communication tools that operate completely independent of Western technological infrastructure just to organize a basic meeting. Physical, secret meetings are also no longer possible.
We are absolutely no longer in the analog era of the "Abacha boys" or the "IBB boys." The posting, rotation, and deployment structure of the Nigerian military today has been changed so frequently, deliberately, and systematically that the time, the space, or even the basic possibility of building deep political cliques, regional factions, and unbreakable loyalty within the armed forces has been virtually eliminated.
So, for those of us here who are frantically fantasizing, dreaming, and salivating over the very idea of a patriotic military "strongman" magically coming to power via a swift coup, please wake up and understand that the military structure of Nigeria has been completely, permanently subordinated to the corrupt political structure, and the top officers have been neatly integrated into the exact same predatory capitalist system we all suffer from.
And let us even foolishly assume that maybe, by some absolute miracle, a military strongman actually comes to power via highly coordinated coup. The naive idea that such a person can simply run some bloody, Jerry Rawlings-esque strategy of lining up corrupt politicians for public execution, tearing up all one-sided offshore oil drilling licenses, and ending the brutal mineral extraction contracts that put the greedy interests of corporate capital far above the material needs of the people. Let us assume this highly charismatic leader eventually starts a drastic, top-down revolutionary campaign to arrest the institutional decay, the wanton corruption, and the endless plunder of Nigeria. How exactly will they achieve this monumental goal without instantly plunging the entire country into a catastrophic, bloody civil war, given the current, highly volatile superstructural elements of state-sanctioned tribalism, violent religious jingoism, regional bigotry, and a deeply entrenched clientele system that was artificially erected specifically to sustain this capitalist system in Nigeria today?
These are the exact, serious, and highly uncomfortable questions, structural analyses, and material dialectics we should be intellectually engaging in. Our primary, obsessive concern should absolutely not be just about who occupies the physical seat in Aso Rock. We have been blindly changing the faces, the political parties, and the tribal origins of the men in the Presidential Villa for decades now, without a single shred of structural progress to show for it. This is exactly why we must aggressively avoid, reject, and expose any lazy "quick-fix" solution that is masquerading as being too good to be true. Any desperate attempt to fix Nigeria without deeply educating the masses, raising class consciousness, or at least engaging in the radical psychological reorientation of the citizens will never, ever be sufficient to build the enduring, anti-fragile institutions required to finally pull this bleeding nation out of the suffocating shackles of neocolonialism and global imperialism.

I just heard a story that almost made me m@d!💔
Ayo Adio, the ADC Candidate for the Eti-Osa House of Assembly Constituency, visited a community in his constituency to interact with the residents and sell his programmes. But he discovered that they hadn't had light for several months and were struggling to survive in darkness.
He swore to them that he'd resolve the electricity issue by clearing their outstanding bills. The following week, he visited NEPA with the community leaders. He paid off the outstanding debt and brought NEPA officials to reconnect the light.
As the electricity was restored, the community lit up in frenzied joy and jubilation. Word got to the APC representatives in the constituency. The following week, they ordered NEPA to disconnect the light.
As I type, the community is thrown back into darkness - helpless and hopeless. I can’t express how sad and utterly disgusted I feel right now!✍️
