The Lycan is quickly growing on me. Some more thoughts:

It reminds me of the Sora V2 while I'm using it and that's great because it's one of my top 3 shapes. Claw grip feels natural and comfortable.

I installed the included grips and my biggest gripe was gone (slippery coating with damp hands). Though I will note that before I put the grip tape on, the right edge of the shell near the front of the RMB was a bit sharp when I ran my finger along the inside edge. Could just be mine?

The clicks themselves feel fantastic in every regard. Light, spammable, tight, fast rebound, good physical and audible feedback.

I did swap to the full size skates to use on my LGG Saturn Pro and it felt way better to me compared to the dots.

This thing feels stupid light in the hand. It's impressive how light it is yet it doesn't contain any holes on the top shell AND the build quality on my copy is perfect so far. No creaks, rattles, or crazy flex.

Performance was great. No issues or quirks to report so far. I did update to the latest firmware for those curious.

All that said I think the HTS Ultra 8K is STILL my #1... for now. Just something about that shape that pulls me back in every time.

I'm gonna keep the Lycan as my main a while longer to see if it can take the #1 spot.

Back from a 10-day RV road trip.

Drove through 13 states and camped in about half of them. Nearly lost my brakes going down a 9% decline in Vermont, went fishing in upstate New York, and drove through what felt like 35,000 tiny towns with 35mph speed limits (never again).

Visited Acadia National Park and made it to the summit of Cadillac Mountain. Saw the witch trial memorial in Salem, drove through wet foggy mountain roads in Shenandoah that had me thinking I was gonna die a few times, and explored the incredible Luray Caverns.

At one point the rain got so bad we had to stop overnight at a Cracker Barrel. Woke up the next morning and drove through 6 straight states where it rained the entire time.

Then we finally got back to Florida and I realized this is somehow the only state that gives me road rage.

A lot more happened that I’m not even listing here, but overall it was a trip I’ll never forget. Glad to be home and finally play some games again before heading back to work tomorrow.

G-Wolves Lycan 8K Impressions

Still need to put more time on it, but this might just be the mouse to dethrone the HTS Ultra 8K as my main.

Likes:

- Shape is very comfortable for claw grip. Feels secure in-hand*

- Clicks are excellent overall and low button height along with subtle grooves add to the locked-in feel and grip.

- Forward sensor position makes aim feel snappier and more precise for me.

- Golf ball shell is gone which makes the mouse visually more appealing and easier to clean.

- Ultra light weight without holes is insane.

Dislikes:

- *Smooth uncoated shell is slippery with damp hands in my humid environment. Thank goodness for the included grips.

I refuse to use a mouse with a scroll wheel ring design like this. I won't even let it into my home. Idk why but it screams cheap to me. 🤷‍♂️
