Today I worked with three junior doctors and six nurses who would be ineligible to come and work in the NHS if the govt’s desperate dog-whistle of a policy to raise the earning cap to £35k goes through. That would reduce the staffing levels by 33%. But maybe that’s the plan?
Kenyans should not ignore this. This evil govt is planning to sell Kenya Seed to criminal predatory corporations and we need to say enough is enough! Organizations such as Monsanto/Bayer have been using farmers in the USA and other countries, harassing and auctioning their properties to the point of destitution and poverty.
We should not allow Kenyans to be put at the mercy of these evil corporations what come may!
@ostarali@simonharris_mbd I breastfed AND moved my babies on to formula. They're not mutually exclusive. Mothers who are unable to breastfeed should be supported and encouraged. If you're under pressure to get back to your 3 zero-hours, minimum wage jobs, what choice have you got?
A father stares at the hand and foot of his five-year-old daughter severed as a punishment for failing to make the daily rubber quota, Belgian Congo, 1904.
The man’s name was Nsala. He had failed to make his daily rubber quota, so the Belgian-appointed overseers cut off his daughter’s hand and foot.
Her name was Boali and she was five years old. Then they killed her.
But they weren’t finished; they killed his wife too.
And because that didn’t seem quite cruel enough, quite strong enough to make their case, they ate both Boali and her mother and presented Nsala with the tokens; the leftovers from the once-living body of his darling child whom he so loved. His life was destroyed.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo was known as Belgian Congo from 1908 until its independence in 1960.
DR Congo began as a king’s personal property known as the Congo Free State in 1885, before evolving into a colony as the Belgian Congo in 1908. Killed on January 17, 1961, three days before President John F. Kennedy was sworn in as the President of the United States, Patrice Lumumba's murder has been described as the most important assassination of the 20th century. #Africa
NHS paying private sector to carry out more medical operations
'Slow but steady shift by the taxpayer-funded NHS towards paying private providers for medical treatment... threatens the long-term financial viability of the health service'

It is true that Thatcher brought about meaningful change. Britain lost secure well-paid employment, social housing, trade union rights, final salary pensions and adequate funding for the NHS, social care and schools.
Sometimes I think Africa's greatest weakness is leaders fascinated with outsiders. They seem fundamentally naive about others, and it hasn't changed even after 500 years of slavery and colonialism. It's truly bizarre.
Loving Kenya means getting rid of the inhumane, cruel, colonial jalopy called the Kenyan state. It was handed over to us by British thieves and has simply created African thieves.
On Wednesday the right to strike is being voted on in the House of Lords, if it fails Public Sector employee's will be banned from striking.

Kenya has given 60,000 hectares of Mau forest to a company in Netherlands for "conservation" of the water tower.
The Dutch are known for having one of the smallest forested areas in Europe due to their urbanisation & agricultural expansion projects.
There is a human tissue that builds itself up and breaks itself down every ~28 days using non-scarring wound healing and instead of studying that and learning everything we can about it we think it's gross and look for other less relevant models to understand wound healing.
Bill Gates, the obese American, is pushing for the outlaw of cattle at the COP28.
Kenya is going to be the lab and the Maasai +their cattle the lab rats.

@seatradelaw @SpeechUnion Not sure if I agree. It was taken as read that they meant to carry out the violence. I think that's called starting with the conclusion. I believe they were free to express the rage of grief in this way, moreso than police officers who carry their prejudices into their work.
