A pending task is now completed! We have set up our 13C #Picarro analyzer with a TOC Aurora analyzer. This new capability will help us to continue exploring the #isotopic composition of DOC and DIC sources in our study sites.

@HydroTracers Yes! A chronic problem without a sound solution in sight. Year after year Costa Rican newspapers publish news about this issue. By the way, one of the data sources we used in this study. Here a recent example

RT, hoy por mí, mañana por mí también.
Glad to see published this review on Páramo water resources research led by Giovanny Mosquera. I am happy to have contributed on this much-needed paper

It's easy to think of these as measures of your worth. But you are more than your cv.
I could not make to #EGU23 in person but I will virtually be presenting a work on Costa Rican and Andean Paramo ecohydrology modeling. Check it out next Wednesday 26 during PICO session HS7.9 (16:30-18:00 CET).
It is always exciting to break in new instruments. @iaeaorg donated to @marn_salvador two new RAD7 detectors for 222Rn analysis in SW and GW (including a flow cell for continuous analysis in the field). Can't wait to test them in the field this week!
On my way to El Salvador to provide an IAEA national training course on radon measurements in surface water and groundwater in the field and lab. Looking forward to continuing our collaboration with @iaeaorg and my colleagues at @marn_salvador on isotope hydrology.
On March 20 2013 we collected our first precip sample at @comunidadUNACR. We are officially celebrating 10 yrs of continuous sampling (1178 samples and counting). Take a look at our 'lab' at that time! We were ready to break on through to the isotope side!
@HydroTracers I strongly agree! I have been logging ~ 2000 km/yr of running during the last 15 yrs. I realized I feel now better than in my late 20's. The benefits are a real thing!
Last Saturday I spent a nice day in the field with @andres_abarca and @EmanuelMV2612. We successfully collected surface and deep water samples for analysis of WSI, 222Rn and ionic species at Laguna Hule (volcanic lake).
