We have received several phone calls over the past day or two regarding a very convincing and alarming scam.

Here's how it works.

You may get a phone call... this one is spoofing our Metro Police non-emergency number [phone]. The voice on the line identifies themselves as a Captain (or similar law enforcement position) with an official-sounding title or division.

The voice says you were a 'no call, no show' or they're requesting money that you owe.

There might be threats of arrest if you don't pay up immediately.

It is ESSENTIAL that you hang up and call your local law enforcement agency (In this case us at 702-828-3111) and speak to us directly. Confirm any information before acting. DO NOT SEND MONEY.

We are here to help and want you to stay protected from these scammers looking to prey on your fear and steal your cash!
