Tonight, I was awarded the Media girl champion awards ahead of the International day of the Girl child celebrations.
Thank you @KalekeKasome, @OPMUganda and partners.
Humbled to do more for the girl child.
Last the weekend, @Zamara_fdn brought together young mothers and teenage moms from Kwale County for a heartfelt conversation on self-care, emotional well-being, and resilience.
In a warm and supportive space, participants shared the simple yet powerful practices that help them cope with stress and maintain balance, from singing traditional songs in quiet moments and spending time with trusted friends to resting when possible, praying, and engaging in meaningful daily activities.
Their reflections underscored an important truth: self-care is not a luxury but an essential pillar of maternal well-being, enabling young mothers to nurture themselves, care for their families, and thrive in their communities.

Last week, we visited Iganga Town Council Primary School to assess the state of #InclusiveEducation and examine the barriers that continue to hinder access to quality education for learners with disabilities especially #GirlswithDisabilities
I propose we go ahead and do DNA with the rest of Kafeero’s brothers to close this chapter. Otherwise that resemblance cannot be wished away comrade Atenyi. Total closure of this matter is needed especially for those children who are total photocopies of the late. Who fathered them? I trust you on handling such complicated matters and I’m sure you will handle.
I was honoured to speak @amwaafrika Editors’ Breakfast on:
“Advancing SRHR Reporting in Uganda: The Radio Reporter’s Handbook & Research Insights”
I shared how journalists can survive the editorial pushback on SRHR stories being treated as advocacy.

We have submitted recommendations to Uganda’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emerging Technologies Strategy national task force , calling for a human rights-centred approach to the governance of these technologies.
Uganda is developing a National AI & Emerging Technologies Strategy and we are calling for it to put human rights first.
AI is already being used in customs, healthcare, agriculture & finance in Uganda. The question is, will its governance keep up?
