"It's just the start for my poetry dawning." A quote from a participant showing that he now has a new way to express himself and a strategy to support his mental health due to these workshops. It's been great to be part of these @HMPBuckleyHall with @Novuschange !
Great to see how the network meetings we started in the northwest have grown to benefit four regions now. Let's hope we can expand them further to create more reading opportunities and support more colleagues! ๐

#RaisingReaders has made such an impact in Lot 6 prisons and is one of our most popular reading initiatives! It's been a great way to encourage reluctant readers who are less likely to read for their own enjoyment but like to do so to maintain links with their family. ๐
Every member who participated in #RaisingReaders at one of our prisons voted 10/10 for how likely they are to recommend this project to other people!
Raising Readers offers family members in prison the chance to choose a book to be sent home to their child.

Currently enjoying being part of the @PRG_UK Reading in Prison event with @Novuschange . Really interesting discussions on the power of reading groups!
Only two days until we raise our glasses to 25 years of impact, innovation, and inspiration at our Reading in Prison event! ๐ฅณ #ReadinginPrison25#BooksConnect

Really enjoyed our @Novuschange reading specialists' network meeting at @HMP_NewHall yesterday. It was great to share ideas and learn from some wonderful practice to support and promote reading across our prisons!
@arghkid I loved it today when one of the participants said they'd changed their career plans to use writing to help others. What an impact! Looking forward to sharing the outcomes with @HMPYOI_Hindley@HMPBuckleyHall and @Novuschange
