🌍The @RefugeesIntl 2023 Advocacy Awards last week was so inspiring.
🌟The evening highlighted the rich contributions refugees and forcibly displaced people make when they can rebuild their lives in welcoming communities.

"[In] a world seeing so many global challenges, we require global solutions. And global solutions require an ability to think more globally and to think more internationally."
Great interview with @FantaAwNAFSA, a leader who continues to inspire me:

The #WES team was in action during the #IEASA Conference. Oumar Sanga and I presented on the international mobility of African #HigherEd qualifications, and Beka Tavartkiladze presented on refugee qualification recognition alongside colleagues at #SAQA and @ScalabriniCT.
Before the International Education Association of South Africa (#IEASA) Conference, we attended the Global Education Summit, where I joined an expert panel to discuss the importance of ethical leadership in #HigherEd.
An energizing day, many insights, and great people.
We started our #SouthAfrica trip with a visit to the South Africa Qualifications Authority (SAQA). We discussed the SAQA-WES partnership focused on a recently completed pilot program to address the needs of forcibly displaced people in South Africa.

This past week, I had the privilege to visit #SouthAfrica alongside my colleagues Beka Tavartkiladze and Oumar Sanga to share @WorldEdServices’ work, to deepen partnerships, and to learn from thought leaders across government, higher education, and more.
Looking forward to joining my WES colleague Oumar Sanga this Thursday to present on ‘Unlocking Opportunities: The International Mobility of African Higher Education Qualifications’ at IEASA's 25th Annual Conference in South Africa. https://t.co/46Puy8BwtA
