We are the Pilgrims, master; we shall go
Always a little further; it may be
Beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow
Across that angry or that glimmering sea"
James Elroy Flecker ~ The Golden Road to Samarkand
One hospital bill can wipe out 3 years of your savings.
Don't sacrifice your diet.
Don't sacrifice your sleep.
Don't hustle without taking care of your health.
Health is wealth.
The President has a furniture business and suddenly forests are being cleared in the name of development. We should draw a line in the sand as citizens
The arrest of former Chief Justice David Maraga shows how low Ruto’s regime has sunk.
When a government starts arresting former Chief Justices, activists and ordinary citizens for standing up on public issues, it is no longer governing through legitimacy, persuasion or the people’s mandate.
Ruto has lost the people, and what remains is rule by the gun, intimidation and police power. This is how regimes behave when they know the ground has shifted beneath them.
why do "balls" imply toughness and "pussy" imply weakness when the slightest flick to the nuts sends a guy to his knees, yet a vagina can push out an entire being.?????
You people think someone wakes up and pays millions to buy useless data with no personal information? Data has value because it can tell them who you are, where you are, what you do, what you buy, what you fear, what you like and how to target you. Hiyo story ya “it will be anonymized” is just perfume on theft.
@MRallykam@sholard_mancity Equating tech integration to sale of national data is such a fallacy... false equivalence aitakusaidia hapa. ... We kama unataka data yako iuzwe tafuta broker uuze wachana na mraia wengine.
@MRallykam@sholard_mancity Kwani you think I live on Mars? BTW ndigithia ngoma! This is such a pedestrian argument, what do you hold more important? National sovereignty or savings of a few coins for a limited set of citizens who need the services you are quoting?
Let’s talk about something as basic as gloves. One of the culture shocks I had in Germany is that in every patient’s room kuna 3 boxes of gloves in different sizes. Sometimes the healthcare workers will change gloves upto 5x when dealing with a single patient. Saa hiyo the most common phrase you’ll hear in KNH is “unawaste gloves/something else” and usually, the one or 2 boxes rotating in a ward are in the custody of a nurse and you have to walk around to find them or ask to get a pair. Mind you we’re not talking about a specialized medical device. Basic gloves.
But apparently we’re capable of handling another country’s epidemic.
APs working with CRBC have not been paid. Food for APs and KeNHA staff at the airport has been stopped, Chinese contractors no longer provide meals.
Transport vehicles from the CRBC Southern Bypass campsite often lack fuel, forcing APs to be carried in open pickups like livestock in the cold.
Key question: Is the government issuing underfunded tenders, or are the Chinese failing to pay due to gambling?
APs have threatened to abandon the projects. Drivers are being fired frequently, and Chinese firms are importing translators from China.
