Starting June 10, ETH will become the default payment method for all newly approved grants. 🦄
This brings our grant-making closer to the Ethereum ecosystem we support.
This change applies to new applications submitted on or after June 10.

Upgrading Finality - Edition 1
Check out the plan for bringing fast finality to Ethereum.
Hosted on the the brand new and shiny EF Protocol Consensus website 😁 Lots of good stuff there!

When financial institutions put client assets onchain, supervisors expect a defensible answer to one question: how was the blockchain network evaluated?
Networks differ in finality guarantees, governance, and continuity exposure. And those differences shape regulatory risk.
The Pectra Grants Round funded 10+ projs to help the ecosystem prepare for Pectra. Now we're doing it again for Glamsterdam.
If you work on Ethereum tooling, validator tools, monitoring, research, etc. to help prepare for the Glamsterdam upgrade, we want to hear from you.

If proving becomes part of Ethereum’s core infrastructure, it cannot live only in the cloud.
It has to work on machines people actually own, under real-world constraints.
Today, Ethproofs is launching a pilot to test exactly that.
We’re funding 4 prover teams to run on-prem multi-GPU rigs and prove 1-in-10 Ethereum L1 blocks on Ethproofs.
The goal is simple: encourage more production-grade proving in the wild.
This first cohort is a pilot, not a closed club. We are ready to scale.
We’re also updating the $300K RTP grants. They are separate from this pilot and open to any team that meets the criteria.

Ethereum is getting faster.
Deposit time from L1 to L2s and exchanges goes down to 13 seconds.
This is the new industry standard.
Rolling out in the next few months
