@TheReal_BCM There’s something legitimately wrong with parking. Had a similar situation with a motorcycle hidden behind an SUV. It’s like the car locks into a parking spot and ignores any obstacles it hadn’t seen yet.

@congressdj Just went in for the service message. 5th time in 2 years it’s needed cleaning (in Texas so car definitely gets hot). Cover also rattles now, @tesla won’t cover either as it’s a “maintenance item” on a 2 year old, 25k mile car.

@GeorgeRoush @Dodge As bad as these are, CAN bus is likely what’s causing it to throw that many codes. We lost an ACC camera in a GMC and it took out 5-10 systems with it, including ABS somehow.

@RivianTrackr Just based on Tesla, Nvidia, and Waymo examples, the only way I see this happening is if they partner with one of them and start running their software. It clearly takes mountains of work to even be trustworthy in limited areas.

@congressdj Always get it at night or in the rain. I’ve also noticed the car has way more phantom braking events after dark.

@Michael_L_Rauch @Tesla Use FSD a lot, but it still drives like a teenager. Incorrect or late lane choices, indecision, poor merging, not anticipating obvious behaviors, etc. Overall getting better, but it’s still a year or two away from truly being great.

@ChanceHMiller HW4 FSD on the highway still isn’t great. Struggles with merging traffic and lane choice/general flow. Can’t imagine how HW3 behaves.

@mhp_guy You can still press the scroll button and leave a voice feedback. Not sure how they use the data, but they actually fixed several issues on my route with the latest update.

@MFG_SMB My gut tells me most smaller shops will absorb into bigger companies or conglomerates. Local manufacturing will still have a place, but the agility advantage will go away as larger shops rely more on Ai and robotics for low-volume parts.

@dkmitc Mine has a glare that shows up when the sun is at the right angle. Under warranty, so Tesla is cleaning for the 4th time in 18 months 😬. Wish there was a long-term fix they could implement.

FSD is much more indecisive and twitchy after dark. This was the worst(watch blinker), but nighttime vision still has room for improvement. Handles this corner like a pro during the day. V14.3.8

@j32pmxr @wmorrill3 @larsmoravy Had my car 2 years, about to have it cleaned for the 4th time (they’ve always done it under warranty). Wish they had used sealed housings, never had this problem in any other car with front cameras.
