Using a quantitative framework, we also show how the concept of an integrated ecosystem can be applied to diverse ecosystems to compare cross-boundary resource reliance between locations and test controls on the cycling of externally produced resources through food webs

We found that resources that crossed the stream-riparian boundary directly or indirectly supported all levels of both food webs at similar levels, creating an integrated ecosystem on a #wildandscenic river

Last week I successfully defended my #PhD dissertation on the influence of streamflow and resource dynamics in stream-riparian ecosystems. It still doesn't feel real this chapter is coming to a close... but looking forward to what comes next!
