@Tsandisgoi@EWErickson You keep saying that people have to hide in terror because of Erick Erickson but you can't name anything that he's done to said people.
@IllCoopDeVille@WillMacD80@marklevinshow More demand (spending) chasing a limited supply lets businesses raise prices. Economics 101.
Defense is 13% of gov spending and 2% of US spending (citizens & gov). If you have other data then share it.
Foreign aid is 1/2 percent of gov spending. Also, not sneaky at all.
@IllCoopDeVille@WillMacD80@marklevinshow You think there's a single cause for inflation? Interesting.
3.1% of GDP and 2% of total money spent in the US. How is this confusing?
It's 13% of federal spending. If you have a link to debunk this then please feel free to post.
@IllCoopDeVille@WillMacD80@marklevinshow Inflation is caused by spending. Defense spending is 2% of all money spent in the US. Are you saying that this 2% is the reason for high inflation?
@IllCoopDeVille@WillMacD80@marklevinshow Not downplaying, just adding historical context.
Your argument only works if you don't know what inflation is.
In 2001 we spent 3.5% of our GDP at the “Peace dividend” low point. Today it's 3.1%.
When Regan was president we spent $3,300 per person. Today $2,800.
@WillMacD80@marklevinshow We've never spent less money on the military than 2026. So, "wars in the Middle East" isn't the main cost driver that is bankrupting our country.
