My weekend project - a collaborative 🎵 repl using @EtherpadOrg. https://t.co/UAsHU36Ksu. Sorta like Google Docs/Figma, but for music 🎧. You can make a page just by visiting the site (check out the video). Have fun!
@magnetic_pajama Ah, so services such as https://t.co/OvqlmpgD7t and various commercial entities offer pads with persistence or you can deploy your own in the cloud using most popular SaaS platforms. We intentionally don't provide commercial services as we're a community not a company :)
@DogGeneticsLLC Afaik we don't have decent test coverage in for that specific thing, any idea how we'd go about it? We have no intention of breaking it tho but we always want to improve!
1 shy of 200 plugins! That's nuts. We're really happy everyone is modifying the editor experience so much, it really reminds us just how diverse use cases can be and the importance of freedom of choice / open source. How should we celebrate hitting 200?
Etherpad 1.8.12 released: 1 security issue, some bugfixes and a few bits of polish :) Lots happening on the repo but again this is a stability / polish release without any major bells and whistles to shout about :) <#3therpad https://t.co/OL3rpWzzIb
We're making a change to the plugin framework where any plugin that hasn't had an update in 5+ years is not visible to users through the admin UI. #sorrynotsorry
Big code base clean up has nearly landed.
Release hopefully within a few weeks.
Things are moving quicker than usual due to our awesome community helping to promote the project :) Thanks <3
Sorry, we were debugging on a production instance today on https://t.co/su0luCektR which is why things were unstable. We were going to say it was a DDoS but that's so 2010...
Wow what a week - just so you know, you guys are doing great! 👏👍
Sorry we have been quiet on twitter for a while, we've been helping schools setup remote learning.
To try & make your life easier we have six ideas for things to include in an AUP for sending devices home.🧑💻

If you aren't familiar with Etherpad 1.8.7 yet then that's cool, it's just 1.8.6 with bugfixes, optimizations and a huge code clean up.
Stay safe folks, and please don't commit crimes. Basic human decency goes a long way.
