Grateful to @utennpress for making this book. It's written for ordinary people ready to take reality seriously: not without the comfort of tears, but without false hopes or make-believe about how our #collapse is going.
Taking polycrisis seriously opens new, real possibilities.

Hard to overstate how much being Dem aligned today is just a commitment to being gaslit at all times.
Former Biden press secretary Karine Jean Pierre on the post-debate fall-out.
“It was a firing squad…I had never seen anything like that before…that was shocking, shocking…It was truly, truly unfortunate. And I think it hurt us more than folks realized.”
@MattPolProf@AlbertBikaj Literally no competent mind in the year 2025 could arrive in good faith and as a result of serious interlocution at the take you responded to here. It's not just risible as proposition, but impossible as result of functional dialogue.

@podsekalnikov It's even worse than capitalist realism. Easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism, and impossible to imagine anything BUT the undisrupted reproduction of society.
I don't have much use for Maddow in general, but good for her here in trying to get the Dems to be *for* anything at all.
And Jeffries with just the nothingest and most Dem Party imaginable response: "We're ALREADY doing a great job!"
Maddow tries to shake @RepJeffries into meeting the moment: "Policy doesn't feel like the main conversation… we are in the middle of a Ketamine-fueled middle of the night autocratic power grab rendering Congress irrelevant, making the rule of law an afterthought if not a joke."
