In the news: ETTA’s Board of Directors President, @samyebri!
We are proud to see Sam featured in @jlivingmedia, where he discusses the essential role of community building in philanthropy and advocacy.
"It is imperative to share your passion and engage others in your community work because we are exponentially stronger and more impactful when we work together," Sam notes.
Sam is a true champion for inclusivity, and his leadership has been instrumental in supporting @EttaOrg’s mission and more recently, the opening of the Bhatia Family Village, where ETTA is a key service provider. As he shares in the interview: "I’m incredibly proud that the Bhatia Family Village by Cornerstone recently opened its doors to community members. It has been an honor to serve as the Board President of ETTA, which has been a driving force behind this one-of-a-kind residential project for adults with developmental disabilities in the heart of the Jewish community in Pico Robertson."

Braiding, baking, and bringing joy! 🥖✨
During a recent CONNECTIONS Art Fridays class, our Day Programmers got extra creative with both edible and visual masterpieces. With a little help from our staff, they braided dozens of delicious mini challah loaves with both sweet and savory toppings, and crafted handmade cards filled with "Happy Challah Day" wishes.
The best part? Our City Day Programmers personally delivered these treats to our friends at City View Senior Living. Seeing the smiles as they received these homemade goodies was the highlight of the week!

Every Hero Has a Power!
During a recent virtual hang session with our amazing friends at Israel Elwyn, we dove deep into what really makes a superhero. Together, we brainstormed the qualities of a hero and discovered superpowers—like knowing how to count in different languages, practicing kindness, and being a good friend.
After choosing our unique powers and writing them down to share with the group, it was time to suit up! Both sides of the screen got crafty, designing custom superhero masks that represented our own powers. We had a blast sharing our masks and our superpowers with one another!
If you had to pick one "everyday" superpower that you use to help others, what would it be? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Rain or shine, Wednesdays and Thursdays are some of our favorite days of the week! 🌧️☀️
Our Day Program crew and staff are busy sorting, organizing, and distributing fresh flowers and produce to our wonderful neighbors. But this is about more than just delivery—it’s about growth.
By engaging with neighbors and practicing the art of listening and following directions, the people we serve are building essential life skills and a deep sense of belonging. There is truly no better feeling than giving back and watching our community thrive! 🌸🥦

Last month at the CLAL leadership conference @hillelatucla, Leah and Michelle spent a meaningful day learning, connecting, and networking with peers from Los Angeles, New York, and Israel.
A highlight was the chance to meet Richard Sandler, a true powerhouse in the philanthropic world. Richard serves on the board of the Milken Community School (whose students participate in service learning with ETTA!), is executive vice president, secretary, and trustee of the Milken Family FDN, chairs the board of trustees of the @jfederations of North America, and previously served as chair of the @jfedla.
We’re grateful for opportunities like this that spark ideas, deepen partnerships, and strengthen community. It was truly a wonderful day of learning and connection.

Tomorrow, March 21, is World Down Syndrome Day! 🌎
This global day raises awareness and advocates for the rights and well-being of people with Down syndrome. This date, the 21st day of the 3rd month, was chosen to symbolize the triplication (trisomy) of chromosome 21, which causes Down syndrome.
