@adamlyttleapps Or find a section of the niche that nobody else cares about. I am seeing new apps every week in the broader niche I’m in but I’m still the only person in my niche targeting my ideal customer. And my ideal customer is not exactly an insignificant group so it’s surprising.
I feel this a lot.
I’m having reading fatigue. When Opus outputs another full A4 page answer, I just can’t bear to read it all. I’ve been asking for shorter and shorter summaries in prose. Then I can know the absolute minimum I need to and can dig into it more when necessary.
I also need to write a few words in each prompt line so, when I come back to that tab hours later after working through 20 other chats, I know what it’s even about.
AI was supposed to make us work less
I've never been this tired in my life
most days I have up to 10 agents running at the same time. one fixing a bug, one writing pages, one refactoring something I already forgot I asked for, 3 other I have no idea what they are doing but i suppose i ask it?
and I jump from conversation to conversation all day
compared to 5 years ago, I probably context switch 100x more
by the end of the day my brain is fried. completely toasted. nothing left, not even for the people I love
I call it the fried brain effect
thought it was just me but almost every founder I talk to lately says the exact same thing
we got superpowers, and somehow the pressure only went up. if you can ship 10x more, you feel like you have to ship 10x more. every single day
I don't have a solution
honestly I have no idea where this goes from here
anyone else feeling this?
Building it getting faster, but what to build is still not obvious.
The product I’ve been working on the for the past year is constantly shifting as I get new data. User data especially is hard to anticipate so some decisions weren’t obvious to me, or Claude, before I had it.
So, while I agree that it’s an exciting time where one person can build far more in less time, I think many types of products that are worth making will still take time as not even Claude can predict what good actually looks like.
This is also interesting to think about
Right now it still takes, let's say, 30 minutes to a few hours to build something usable with AI and then you still polish for days/weeks/months
If we assume this will keep getting faster, at some point an AI model will take a second or less to generate the whole thing
Imagine a future where you can create anything in less than second?
How will that change what we choose to create? Will humans even create, or will it all be AI agents coming up with ideas themselves?
The next constraints then become physical? If AI can generate for example hardware plans so fast, it will still take 30 minutes to 3d print that, so maybe the next speed and intelligence optimizations will then start happening in hardware, being able to generate an idea and producing a physical object in a minute or so
I have no idea but very interesting, it's kinda like those real-time video models we saw last month (like my Infinite Slop project), how will content change if you can generate so fast?
🤔
@johnrush This is the first week where I barely needed a UI other than the terminal.
Coding → terminal (obv.)
Video, audio, editing → terminal (99% there, still needs small tweaks)
Clicking through dashboards in Chrome → terminal (the biggest change)
I barely open anything anymore.
The #EIWorkshop2021 workshop has just kicked off in virtual Cambridge. Lots of new ideas on the brain-body relationship, morphological computation , learning and #SoftRobotics. Many members of @SoftLabBristol in attendance! https://t.co/lvxxMOaley
Congratulation to Euan Judd for the acceptance of the paper “Sensing Through the Body” to the IROS Workshop https://t.co/mVt75sKuVj
Locating objects through body movements and proprioceptive sensors without touching it. 🐙

.@BristolUni, @SoftLabBristol scientists have built a new #soft#computer for soft #robots. Using the low-cost and easily fabricated computer, various soft machines functioned autonomously without the use of conventional electronics: https://t.co/QY0JGft1hF ($)
