When you have grown men climbing high-voltage transmission lines, willingly risking instant electrocution and leaving their charred corpses hanging from the lines just to strip a few meters of copper wire for a quick meal, you are no longer dealing with a normal economic crisis.

You are dealing with a catastrophic collapse of basic human reasoning and a total evaporation of civic morality.

The immediate reaction from the usual commentators is always a torrent of misplaced sentimentality, blaming the government, blaming poverty, and crying about how "desperation" drove them to it.

Poverty does not turn off your survival instinct, nor does it force you to become a parasite that cuts off electricity to a whole hospital or neighborhood.

That is a deliberate, suicidal choice driven by an absolute disregard for the rule of law and the community's survival.

The grim reality is that a society cannot build a future when its citizens are actively cannibalizing the very infrastructure keeping them alive.

When the fear of poverty completely overrides the fear of a 33,000-volt currents, the rot has reached the bone.

We are witnessing the literal death of civic order, one transmission line at a time.
