Bogdanor: The Irish Sea Border clearly doesn't work - it will have to be a land border. That would be much less onerous. Though it doesn't have to be right on the border itself.
Me: *Moves the border inland behind English ports*
Bogdanor: No, not like that.
Ukraine is Europe!
We stand by Ukraine.
We will step up our support to Ukraine so that they can continue to fight back the agressor.
Today, it became clear that the free world needs a new leader. It’s up to us, Europeans, to take this challenge.
Today we saw very clearly whose side Trump is on.

We in Europe and across the democratic world must #StandWithUkraine ️

"Our interest is that Russia does not win this war..If it wins, that means that on our borders is an imperial power which we are telling: you can be expansionist.. I don't see who around this table can have peace of mind if we let that happen"
I'd just taken it as a silly social media bit, but in hindsight perhaps all that performative dunking on the "europoors" around here was a sign of deeper economic insecurity. Probably not much of a sign but then why would you bother at all if things were going so well in the USA?
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my colleagues in the College, Commission services, MEPs, Member States, and my team.
Together, we have worked tirelessly to advance an ambitious EU agenda.
It has been an honour & privilege to serve the common European interest🇪🇺
@Jabblewox@DanielJHannan@jasonomahony Well then, if the argument is that you can add up the medals for independent countries who share some leadership figures, then I guess Jason's point still stands in the case of the EU. I think it's a bit silly to do this in either case.
