🇬🇷 Η Ελλάδα έδειξε τι σημαίνει κυριαρχία: κρατικός έλεγχος στη θρησκευτική διοίκηση, διαφάνεια στη χρηματοδότηση, κανένας ενδιάμεσος με «βέτο».
🇮🇱 Το Ισραήλ έδειξε τι σημαίνει κυριαρχία που δεν υποκαθίσταται: οι Άραβες πολίτες του εκπροσωπούνται και διοικούνται εντός του κράτους - ποτέ από ξένη πρωτεύουσα. Η ευθύνη μένει στο εσωτερικό.

🟥 Η Ευρώπη έχει ξαναδεί αυτό το μοτίβο: DITIB στη 🇩🇪 Γερμανία, ξένη χρηματοδότηση ιμάμηδων σε 🇳🇱–🇸🇪, τα εργαλεία πίεσης της 🇷🇺 Ρωσίας — και στον 🇱🇧 Λίβανο η Χεζμπολάχ, που με στήριξη της 🇮🇷 Τεχεράνης εξελίχθηκε σε πολιτικό–ασφαλιστικό βέτο. Όπου ο ενδιάμεσος ελέγχεται απ’ έξω, η απόφαση παύει να είναι εθνική.

Αυτό δεν είναι «βουλγαρικό θέμα».
Είναι ευρωπαϊκή ρωγμή.
Κι αν δεν κλείσει τώρα, αύριο δεν θα κλείνει.

Sir—mocking a failed missile test may win applause on social media, but it reveals something deeper — and far less reassuring — about Western strategic culture.

When senior statesmen such as yourself treat nuclear-weapons development as material for ridicule, it signals a profound loss of seriousness. Russia’s nuclear arsenal does not become less real, less survivable, or less strategically consequential because one test misfired.

And any realist knows that great powers, including the United States and France — have endured failed tests without anyone declaring their deterrents meaningless.

A failed launch is a technical data point, not a geopolitical shift.

What your reaction actually shows is the Western habit of substituting emotional gratification for sober assessment. The risk is obvious: if you convince your own public that the adversary is incompetent, brittle, or unserious, you make escalation more tempting and diplomacy less viable.

Nuclear strategy does not tolerate that kind of wishful thinking.

The correct question is not “Did a missile fail today?”

It is: “Does Russia retain a credible second-strike capability?”

The answer is yes — and that is the only metric that matters for deterrence.

Ridicule may feel good. It does not make Europe safer.
