@FondOfBeetles@AnneMcGarryMars@stellacreasy@Jebadoo2@akuareindorf@EHRC I left the LP because of this issue. Thought there was some hope because of their manifesto pledge this time but my MP is a signatory to this ridiculous motion which will not change the law even if successful. Still politically homeless.
@EllieChowns Violence and discrimination where and from whom? Please evidence these claims. Which part of the Code of Conduct is unfit and doesn’t comply with settled law? If you see the law itself as the problem this is not the correct route to take to fix that. The law will remain the law.
@akuareindorf@enderbymavis@ForWomenScot I’m awaiting a response from my MP who signed up to the motion. I do wish they’d read both the Equality Act and the Supreme Court Judgement before acting- or even speak to some of their constituents who have read and understood them.
@emily4MK The law is the law, even lawmakers must abide by it, although it is in their gift to seek to change it if they wish. Attacking a Code of Conduct aimed at helping service providers applying that law lawfully will not alter the law itself.
@KishwerFalkner@FilmLecturer@thetimes Disgraceful behaviour, the woman has no honour. We all know who occupies the high ground on this one. Thank you so much for your producing the Code in a timely manner in some very difficult circumstances.
For any employer still "waiting for the @EHRC guidance"- and there are still far too many - all you need is this clear, measured and accurate article on how to comply with the Supreme Court judgment in @ForWomenScot. It really isn't complicated.

@jamesmurray_ldn@RachelReevesMP@wesstreeting No confidence that someone without a basic understanding of biological sex is in any position to protect the health, safety and dignity of women and girls. I despair of Labour on this issue.
@BethRigby The electorate changed their mind in the recent elections. Starmer in shirtsleeves promising more of the same but quicker alongside a bit of manufactured passion doesn’t cut it.
@faisalislam Just imagining Charles ditching the speech and delivering an impeccably polite but deeply cutting Jane Austin style assessment as he did in the States.
@RichardBurgon He isn’t an honerable man though is he and has made clear his intention to remain in power for the next 10 years! Absolutely no indication he’s signing up to a timetable for departure and even if he did there’s no guarantee he’d honour it.
@MikeTappTweets But Starmer hasn’t delivered stability, we’ve had one crisis after another, largely of his own making - Mandelson, Lord Ali and expenses etc. It’s not only Reform who want him gone - it’s the electorate as demonstrated very clearly on Thursday.
@DreyfusJames@AnotherQuinn1 We’ve heard them and the electorate firmly rejected them yesterday. Saying them louder and more frequently will not help. Time to go.
@Keir_Starmer@labourpress I don’t recognise Labour under your leadership and I’ve been a lifelong supporter and one time member and councillor. Do what is right for the country, and Party and resign.
