In this article with @timdbecker @especially_APT, we talk about some ways that some newer models to deliver medications for OUD may be already countering stigma—and how they could be further leveraged to reduce stigma and optimize care!

I’m still thinking about this conversation—especially the wisdom of how an intervention will always build a world in some way, whether or not it really intends to. Thank you Dr. Bradley for your work and this opportunity to have this conversation! Follow @CatchThePower! @1stluvd!

"Antidiscrimination laws are by definition antistigmatizing and therefore promote health equity," reads a new @JAMA_current piece on antidiscrimination laws and LGBTQ+ health that was first-authored by @JohnsHopkinsHBS PhD student, @EvanEschliman.

Finally, writing this piece with my bestie about our communities was such a labor of love—thank you, thank you to @EvanEschliman for asking me to write with you! 💖

Health has ALWAYS been politicized—in this horrific landscape of anti-trans & anti-queer policies, it is up to ALL of us to show up and fight for LGBTQ+ people.

Take some time, right now, to find out how you can be an accomplice in your own state.

We aimed to take an intersectional approach to underscore how laws literally police queer bodies & negatively impact health—specifically focusing on the 303 Creative, LLC v. Elenis Supreme Court case and its potential impacts on health disparities.

Okay, the ✨embargo has been officially lifted✨: @EvanEschliman & I have been published in @JAMA_current! 🤩

Hopefully this work helps improve preparation, implementation, and sustainment of these interventions and helps people receive the best possible care!

Have you ever wondered about what helps and hurts implementation of evidence-based task-sharing mental health interventions? We did, and here's what we found: https://t.co/cXgVe8wzCc #impsci #implementation #globalmentalhealth #systematicreview

Notably, we see intervention characteristics (mostly facilitators) and stigma (only ever a barrier) as cross-cutting domains, meaning they can impact implementation and other B+F's.

The US FDA just approved long-acting injectable #PrEP for #HIV prevention!! This is incredibly exciting AND we must ensure scale up is equitable so that anybody can access it regardless of who they are or where they live.

"Stigma towards queer people is prevalent, pervasive, and extremely harmful, and it limits equal and free expression of intimacy — a core part of the human experience," writes @JohnsHopkinsHBS doctoral student, @EvanEschliman in @HKSLGBTQ.
