@CindySteinborn@Torakluver@DoomSperg Are you an unborn child? Yes/no. If not then shut up!! I wish people still learned logic and not just how to be opinionated…
Amazing. The article quotes an official with the American Academy of Pediatrics who says that kids don't have the "agency" to permanently alter their bodies. And yet the American Academy of Pediatrics fully endorses gender transitions for minors.
Is it just me or does twitter lean more toward shallow bickering than toward actual dialogue? It seems every tweet just opens up pandora’s box for arguing with random strangers. So much animosity. I’d love to just have a normal conversation about tough topics…
@epsalon @LizMarieGhost @Greatscottwii@ksorbs Please explain, how to trans recognize biological reality? No judgement here, just don’t understand your statement
@bammba_m @LizMarieGhost @Greatscottwii@ksorbs I wasn’t given science. I was given “official statements” of “official organizations” who radically changed their postures on all of this in the past 50 years, based on protests, votes, and complaints of those who were offended by the science…Still no real evidence to back it up
@LizMarieGhost @Greatscottwii@ksorbs It’s at least worth considering both sides. I don’t question what the majority says, I question why they say it. “Official declarations” aren’t enough without solid studies to back them. I’m open to those studies, could care less about consensus
@LizMarieGhost @Greatscottwii@ksorbs I think about that often. I only wish I could trust consensus with some of these groups, considering that most changes made in this topic in the DSM were the result of political pressure and protests rather than via scientific evidence. CDC, FDA, APA, not as reliable as before🤷♂️
Historical scientific consensus that has been proven false:
The world is flat, the sun revolves around the earth, dark skin makes us less human…. Current scientific consensus that is being disproven: being inside a womb makes you less human, contraception reduces abortion, etc.
@GraciousMachine @infogadget13 @ksorbs Historical scientific consensus:
The world is flat, the sun revolves around the earth, dark skin makes us less human…It can be helpful to listen to the outliers who have been “debunked”, all great science starts with outliers. Just a thought, not opening new debate👍🏻 rock on
@LizMarieGhost @Greatscottwii@ksorbs Also based on this document, we should not seek to alter a person’s sexual behavior…so what about rape, sexual abuse, pedophilia? Should these be affirmes as part of a persons essential identity and thus healthy?
@LizMarieGhost @Greatscottwii@ksorbs The goal is not to stigmitize or change someone’s sexual orientation, but rather to explore the causes of their same sex attraction and attend to those causes. The AMA denies that such causes exist, and instead of helping, they cause more harm.
@LizMarieGhost @Greatscottwii@ksorbs I believe you are unaware of the actual therapeutic options that exist. I do not propose therapy with these antiquated inhumane methods (elctro-therapy, inducing nausea). But rather the exploration of emotional wounds and trauma in the individuals psycho-sexual history.
The “politically correct” is a new religion. Consensus of opinion replaces science and logic. To refute its beliefs and “doctrines” is considered blasphemy. Even scientists who prove it false are canceled and discredited…until the world believes that it holds absolute truth.
@GraciousMachine @infogadget13 @ksorbs I’m not. I work with dating and married couples and sexology. Over the years many individuals have shared their stories with me and many of them have shared their story of sexual abuse, and the way it has affected them. This is what opened me up to the psycho-sexual causes…
