It has been difficult to express the sorrow over Austin Metcalf's passing. Austin was a genuine leader and warrior who will be deeply missed.

Coach Richard Williams and the Episcopal School of Dallas Eagles are preparing not only to take on a tough SPC 4A District but also one of the hardest non-district schedules in Texas private school football. This includes games against Prestonwood Christian, Trinity Valley, Second Baptist, and All Saints. Leading the offense is Senior Quarterback Jake Gierkey, who will have many targets to throw to, including Yale Tight End Commit Hutch Chipman. He will also have the option to pass to several talented receivers, including Senior Dario Benaglia and Juniors Siler Cooke and William Stahl. Leading the rushing attack will be the talented sophomore Hudsen Young and St. Mark's sophomore transfer William Taylor. They will be running behind a highly skilled and experienced offensive line, consisting of Seniors Owen Bellson, Landen Capetillo, Ethan Pham, and Junior Brett Dopona. On the defensive side, the line will be anchored by Brett Dopona, Landen Capetillo, and Kent Lanyon. The linebackers will be led by Senior Evan Terra. Overall, the Eagles have a very talented roster, but the question remains: will they be able to compete against one of the toughest schedules in Texas private school football?
