3/3 Also, our thanks to Berni Beans Café and to shops up and down the high street. We heard many stories of people who suffered breast cancer and it was nice to know we were helping to make a difference.
Many of these Bras will be sent to Africa.
2/3 We hung up 400 Bras in Hunstanton High Street Thank you Hunstanton Hospice, Keelies Beauty Salon, and Heacham Charity Shop for helping us to collect the Bras. Also, our thanks to Mr Bun the Baker for letting us put up our Gazebo outside and supplying us with refreshments.
1/3 Rotary held a Bucket Collection on behalf of the Breast Cancer on August Bank Holiday Monday. Known as ‘Bra Day’ this went really well, raising £550. On top of this we had a donation of £100 from Veronica Ashton and her ladies local Yoga Club, making a grand total of £650

They also use the IPAD to assess or monitor progress.
The money was collected last year, through two events in the High Street and the Ski Cafe in Hunstanton with buntings made with ladies bras . Those bras were then sent to Africa
2/3 The IPAD will be used for patients who have or are thinking about reconstruction. Pictures are taken along their journey to show them before and after and also to help other lady’s who are considering reconstruction, get an idea what can be achieved.
1/2 On Monday the 5th June, 6 members of Hunstanton & District Rotary went to present Elaine Rudd Specialist Breast Care Nurse and her team, with an IPAD Pro at the Breast Care Unit in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn.
Thanks Hunstanton Council for their £200 contribution to plants, & Anna Greyson for the overall design. Also to the five Rotarians in the picture for the supplying/planting of the 450 pansies. A fine example of organisations working together.

On 26th April was the Rotary District Quiz held at Soham. We chose 6 of our club’s sharpest minds to compete in what turned out to be a hotly contested event. Unfortunately, we were defeated by some teams which would not have been out of place on BBC’s mastermind!
