I was completely wrong about my client's business.

I made an assumption about his business model based on the industry that he is in. I thought I knew exactly what he did. Turns out, its a way better model than I thought.

He added recurring revenue to a distribution business?
Now I've seen it all.

This can kill the sale or purchase of a business.

Especially when a broker doesn't disclose the certifications. If your acquisition target does any government or municipal work, you need to be asking specifically if they hold these designations.

There are a lot of fat cats out there that rode the low interest wave and have no idea how to actually get deals done.
