UPDATE: 4 people are currently missing after a building in Haifa was destroyed by a direct Iranian missile strike.
Hundreds of rescue teams are on the scene, searching through the rubble.
So far, 9 civilians have been injured. Let’s hope that number does not increase.
In John 2:13, Jesus goes to Jerusalem to celebrate Passover.
In Luke 2:21 Jesus was circumcised on the eighth day, in accordance with Jewish law.
In Luke 4:16, Jesus described as regularly attending synagogue and participated in Shabbat prayers.
In Matthew 2:2, the Magi ask: “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?”
In John 19:19, the inscription on the cross reads: “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.”
Jesus was, in fact, a Jew who lived in what is now modern-day Israel.
Just to recap:
Russia is currently helping Iranian forces try to kill US troops.
In response, Trump is… lifting sanctions on Russia and threatening to pull out of NATO, which are the #1 and #2 items on Putin’s wishlist

I promise I'm not making this up.
Joe Rogan — who has 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 of listeners and considers himself well-informed — was asked by Gad Saad to guess the number of Jewish people in the world.
His answer: 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻.
He then took the "conservative" position: 500 million.
The actual answer — which Gad Saad had to deliver like a man defusing a bomb — is 𝟭𝟯 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻. Total. On the entire planet.
Rogan's joking response: 𝘚𝘩𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘰𝘧𝘧. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘶𝘺'𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘻𝘺.
He was off by a factor of 70.
Here's what makes this more than just funny. The Jewish people represent 0.2% of the world's population. 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁. For every single Jewish person on earth there are 100 Muslims. And yet Jews account for somewhere between 25 and 30 percent of all Nobel Prize winners in history.
The most persecuted people in human history. The smallest major religious minority on the planet. And somehow the source of more Nobel laureates, more scientific breakthroughs, more literary giants and more cultural contributions per capita than any group that has ever existed.
𝟭𝟰,𝟮𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. That's it. There are more people in metropolitan Tokyo. And this morning in London, someone burned their ambulances.
Context matters. Numbers matter. And sometimes the most important thing you can do is just look them up.
Catholics are called to reject antisemitism and the lies and conspiracies that fuel it, and to stand clearly against hatred and violence directed toward our Jewish brothers and sisters. To defend religious freedom with integrity, we must also reject antisemitism.

Conclusive proof: Ireland has an antisemitism problem. It simply cannot be denied any longer.
This past weekend’s strikes by the U.S. Air Force targeting three nuclear facilities in Iran did not destroy the core components of the country’s nuclear program and likely only set it back by months, according to an initial report completed recently by the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) based on a battle damage assessment done by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).
According to the classified report, of which details was revealed recently to CNN, Fox, and several other media outlets, Iran’s stockpile of near-weapons-grade enriched uranium was not destroyed in the strike on the Fordow Nuclear Facility in Central Iran, only buried, and that the centrifuges used for enrichment are believed to be largely “intact.” Additionally, an unknown amount of enriched uranium is believed to have been removed from Fordow and transferred by Iran to a “secret facility” prior to the strikes on Saturday.
This report and other assessments appear to contradict statements made by U.S. President Trump as well as other senior officials, who have acknowledged the existence of the report, but continue to claim that the strikes “completely and totally obliterated” the three Iranian nuclear facilities and Iran’s future nuclear ambitions, with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt telling CNN: “This alleged assessment is flat-out wrong and was classified as ‘top secret’ but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community. The leaking of this alleged assessment is a clear attempt to demean President Trump, and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear program. Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000 pound bombs perfectly on their targets: total obliteration.”
Republican Rep. Michael McCaul, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, would not echo Trump’s claims that the Iranian program had been “obliterated” with him adding: “I’ve been briefed on this plan in the past, and it was never meant to completely destroy the nuclear facilities, but rather cause significant damage. But it was always known to be a temporary setback.” Early on Tuesday, classified briefings for both the House and Senate regarding the operation were canceled, with the House briefing said to have been indefinitely-postponed while the Senate briefing was reportedly moved to Thursday.
