Why do moms only hear about postpartum depression or postpartum psychosis?

Why aren’t we talking about postpartum euphoria and postpartum joy?

Postpartum is too often conflated with a dark and stormy time after birth, when in reality it is beautiful, peaceful, and some of my life’s most fulfilling days.

Today I cuddled my baby, fed my baby, made dinner, read to my kids, and time just slowed down.

How grateful I am for this time in my life.

Evita is right—let’s talk about postpartum euphoria.

@JaimeeUSA Beautifully said🥹 I’m 25 and my experience was the EXACT same as what you’ve described. I said “I don’t want kids & if I do it’ll be later bc I wanna travel & blah blah blah” then my daughter came along…Motherhood is truly the peak human experience ❤️ May God bless your family!

In 2023, Courtney Gartshore used a hairdryer to burn her 3 month old daughter. Using the highest setting, she caused serious burns over 18% of her daughter’s body. The little girl died.

Today, Gartshore was sentenced for her daughter’s murder. She got 6 years. Call me draconian if you like, but in my opinion she should never get out of prison.
