The haters told me I’d never own a Tesla Model X.

Then I bought one.

They told me I’d never own a Cyberbeast.

Then I got one… and put tens of thousands of miles on it.

They told me leaving Apple was crazy… that walking away from a great career to bet on myself was a mistake.

Then I became financially free, built my own business, started making more $ doing what I love, and got my time back.

They told me posting about Tesla and Elon every day was a waste of time and wasn’t exciting.

Then that little account turned into Teslaconomics… it opened doors I never expected.


I went from watching Tesla launches online to getting invited into the room.

From talking about Robotaxis to actually riding them.

From dreaming about the future to sitting inside a Cybercab with no steering wheel and no pedals while it drove me around Austin.

And through all of it, there has always been somebody saying:

“You’ll never do that.”

“You’ll never get that.”

“That’s not going to happen.”

I’ve learned something over the years…

Often times the best thing you can do is stop arguing with people and just keep building your life.

Don’t waste your time and energy on them.

Let the results answer for you.

Now I can’t wait to see their faces when the next-gen Tesla Roadster is sitting in my garage.

Some people see something they’ll never have in life.

I see the next thing I’m actually going to own.

As a longtime EV hater, I’m coming clean: I got a Tesla Model Y Performance a few months ago.

FSD is just too good, it’s faster than a Lambo, and it costs $40/month vs the $500 I was paying in gas. Too amazing to pass up.

Haven’t ditched the V8 F-150. Still value the 600+ miles of range and the towing. But commuting in it every day was getting ridiculous.

I can’t see myself ever going 100% EV, at least not yet.

But I always said if Tesla ever made an EV that was a better product for my daily use case, I’d buy one.

With FSD they finally have. Commute and around-town driving are amazing in this thing and it’s not even close.
