This is the issue with the two party system. I honestly felt that the work of RFK could have helped lead to a more affordable & effective M4A system.

The older I get, the more I realize it’s not really about politics, but politicians want you to think it is. It’s not about Republicans and Democrats. I mean, hell, today’s conservatives are yesterday’s liberals. Conservatives today would have been called ‘communist’ as little as 20 years ago. When you’ve got Marjorie Taylor Greene arguing for free college & free healthcare since we subsidize Israel and they get, you see the shift clearly. Change doesn’t happen when a certain party gets elected, it happens when WE change and WE take accountability.

@withlovesole because I’d had this exact thought last year. It’s based in the idea that we are actually in control. What you said struck because I’d thought to myself as well about ‘the powers that be’.. that we keep looking for someone to blame when we’ve been in control as a collective all along, we’ve just forgotten.

Interestingly, asking this plays into exactly what is, we both experienced the same thought in the collective at different times. I think me seeing it now was meant to validate that.

Trump is now a two term POTUS either way. Fact is, he ran a bad campaign in 2020. These are just the facts, but Republicans didn’t have an issue with the stolen election of 2000 when Al Gore officially won the presidency. Then in comes Jeb Bush and Florida changing everything for Dubya. The grand irony is, Republicans HATE the Bush family now. I remember being told I hate America, our troops and that I was a communist for being against Bush by old Republicans. Now so many of those values have been absorbed by them.

@RepMTG not gonna lie, I was impressed listening to you on @TuckerCarlson. My biggest critique though is you falling into the biggest trap of them all. As soon as you started calling Democrats ‘communist’, you lost me. It’s the same as calling Republicans, like yourself, ‘fascist’. That’s the type of divisive rhetoric that keeps us divided and more easily controlled. That said, I am giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming you’re genuine. We need to get to a point where we all acknowledge this about the division and stop playing into it. Most would have tuned out at that point. You have a real opportunity to bring people together, but you can’t just make it like you’re serving Republicans.
