This Saturday, the EWGHS Wind Team competed at the WindWinRI Wind Turbine Competition.  All of the teams had a great day.  Revenge of the Soup earned 2nd place in the Advanced Division and Joy Divelephants earned the Spirit Award- Congratulations Soup & Joy!

In honor of Best Buddies Spread the Word to End the Word Month (March) our chapter is running a spirit week leading up to the Unified Basketball Game (in school Friday 3/27) and the RI Friendship Walk (saturday 3/28)

Please congratulate EWG Sophomore Eli Etting for his acceptance to the 2026 John Philip Sousa National Honor Band. Eli will perform and record in the renowned Mechanics Hall in Worcester, MA. Eli will be conducted by Col. Michael J. Colburn.

Members of the Class of 2027 (gr 11) and Class of 2028 (gr 10)  are invited to the Providence Ice-skating Rink on March 12 between 5-7pm. Students and their families receive a group rate of $7.00/ person. Ice-skate rental fee is also discounted and tax free - $8.41.

On Friday, February 9, students at EWG said goodbye to Mrs Chandler by creating a large, heartfelt card and by clapping and sending well wishes as she walked the hallways after the morning announcements. Mrs Chandler's leadership, wisdom, and guidance will be missed.

It is Pickle Dissection Day in anatomy & physiology class! The students had to practice their anatomical terminology to do certain procedures on their pickle patients. We are not done with our dissections, but hoping to finish tomorrow. Happy Thursday!

The chemistry students took advantage of the sun on Tuesday and tested out their solar ovens by cooking smores. Some of their ovens went up to 110 degrees in 30 minutes, which was impressive considering it was a cold day in January. A fun way to end the semester.

Our EWG FFA won the quiz bowl contest last week at their leadership conference at Johnson and Wales. Last night some of our members competed at Chariho in the greens competition and they did well. Congrats to all who competed!

EWG's FFA Chapter is looking for Teddy Bears or Cash Donations. Donations go to first responders working with children. Drop off box locations are posted on the flyer!

Reminder for sophomores - Thanksgiving pie and cookie dough orders will be available for pick-up after school TODAY (11/20/25) in room 204. Items will be frozen and can be out of the freezer for up to 8 hours. Be sure to plan accordingly!

The SHS Student Council has collected 1,696 non-perishable food items over the past three weeks! That is an unbelievable response, and it says a ton about how our community works together to make things happen! Donation boxes will be located at each school through Tuesday, 11/25.

Students from EWG Sr High and EWG Jr High participated in "Spooky Swings" at Top Golf on Wed, Oct 29! Proceeds supported the Class of 2029. Special thanks to Mr Anzalone - Class of 2029 Advisor - put organizing this fun-filled event!
