@p0rkswordactual@Christopherus33@wfaa What do you mean by “maintained”? NTTA uses a hybrid model: they perform some routine and specialized roadway maintenance internally, but also outsource some roadway maintenance.
NTTA is a political subdivision of the state. They are government.
Thanks for the block (?) - see you’re not interested in facts.
They are not private nor a charity. Do you understand what “government organization” means?
All charities are non-profits, but not all non-profits are charities.
@wfaa@_ChaoticGood42
@XxMurderBabexX@wfaa You “NTTA has always been ran and operated by foreign interests. Not even Texan or American citizens.” NTTA BOD is all local citizens, some elected officials.
Thought you might be confused and think some tolled lanes (e.g., LBJ, NTE) were NTTA’s.
Happy to see your receipts.
@BusterMas57348@MarkDavis Yes. Bonds are sold with 30-40 year final maturities and the debt service typically escalates over that time. Need to ensure they collect enough money to pay each year’s debt service + mntc.
Different toll entities have different policies. Many increase toll rates by CPI each yr.
@XxMurderBabexX@wfaa Some of the tolled express lanes in DFW are NOT NTTA roads but are TxDOT roads. Some of those tolled express lanes were built under a Public-Private partnership. Again, NOT NTTA assets.
@PeteyThePDog@TxDOTCEO@TxDOT They’d need to get money from the Legislature that could be spent on rail. Vast majority of their funding must be spent on highways by state constitution.
Want that to change? Talk to your legislators.
@txaggieplanner@GovAbbottPress@TxDOT@GregAbbott_TX Not how that works. Most money TxDOT gets is restricted by state constitution for highways only. Chairman can’t change that. Need legislators to give voters the chance to expand that through constitutional amendment.
