Being a private-sector employee in the tax-paying bracket is probably the most punished demographic in India 🥲
Pay direct tax when you earn, indirect tax when you spend, save for your own retirement, constantly upskill to survive AI-driven job disruption and then get taxed at every step, even on severance when you lose your job.
Only air and water used to be free. Now the air is unbreathable for 9 months a year, and you need a water purifier to drink the water.

Delhi Police says you can't protest. You go to court. Court says come Monday.
At this point, even exercising a constitutional right needs a waiting list.
Welcome to the Republic of Next Date.
Crippling lakhs of passengers, in violation of the SC order; all being done to prevent a peaceful protest against the hijacking of our democracy.
The dictator is shit scared of the people!
#BREAKING Contempt petition filed in the Supreme Court alleging that many Delhi metro stations are closed in violation of the SC's direction that there should not be a complete shutdown of transport services.
Contempt petition is filed against Govind Mohan IAS, MHA Secretary, Anurag Kumar IPS, Delhi Police Commisisoner, and D Thara IAS, DMRC Chairperson.
Petitioner also alleges that there is unwarranted cancellation of train services, and that the failure of the authorities to follow the Court's directions has crippled public life in Delhi.
#BREAKING : Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal mentions before the Supreme Court a plea concerning the alleged closure of nearly 57 Delhi Metro stations on October 10 amid a planned peaceful protest.
"All trains are cancelled, metro stations are closed. You cannot move anywhere. What is happening to my country? This is a peaceful protest," Sibal submits.
SG Tushar Mehta responds, "It is our country."
Sibal clarifies, "When I say my country, I mean yours too."
@OfficialDMRC@Cockroachisback
Modi has accepted defeat even before our protest has begun.
The mass crackdown on protesters and the shutdown of Delhi are not signs of strength, but of a leader terrified of his own people.
Mother of Democracy?
•Trains cancelled
•Metro stations shut
•People, including women, being detained across the country- pulled from trains at night!
Gyanesh Kumar resign karo ✊🏾
Just a reminder that during the Emergency there were restrictions on photographing the police.
Now look at how Delhi is being treated. We’re really speedrunning back to the Emergency except Delhi is already being treated like a war zone.
Important: MP High Court's Jabalpur bench directs the government to produce students detained from a train in Jhansi. One of them had a leg injury that was not treated despite repeated requests.
This reaffirms that ANY detention of people trying to reach Delhi is ILLEGAL.
Build India?
Exactly how?
It is easier to say in a tweet than to show an actionable path.
How many such high earner your company is going to hire?
How govt is going to support them? Is govt is interested in having them back? Which city shall they settle in for “building India”?
AI has already impacted job market and now this
