After Fayemi initially lost, Tinubu meet with Justice Ayo Salami where something were exchanged in between hands so the judgment could favour Fayemi. The ruling was later delivered at the Court of Appeal, Ilorin where Fayemi was declared the winner of Ekiti State 2007 Governorship elections.
