Andy Mulcock has been appointed as the independent Chair of the new Neighbourhood Board, which will help shape how £20 million is invested in the area over the next 10 years through the Pride in Place programme.

This is the best solution for everyone in Devon, and means Exeter can reach its full potential as the economic driver of the county.

A new breakfast club is coming to Exeter!

From September, children at St Gabriel’s Primary in Exwick will be able to start their day with a free breakfast, courtesy of Labour. They join St Sidwell’s and Whipton Barton Infant and Junior Schools 🍞 🍎

🏳️‍🌈Today is an important day for the LGBT+ community. I was delighted to mark this occasion with friends this morning. I want to thank @oliviabaileymp for her dedication on this.

Thanks to this Labour Government we have hit a vital milestone in publishing a draft Bill to implement a full trans inclusive ban on abusive conversion practices.

LGBTQ+ people have nothing to be ashamed of and there is nothing wrong or broken about who they are. Their sexual orientations and gender identities are diverse and should be celebrated. Conversion practices aim to change someone’s sexual orientation or gender identity; such extreme practices have no place in society and must be stopped.

This is an issue I have been working closely with the Minister on for the last two years and I’m very proud to play a role in making sure we stop this abuse.

The LGBT+ community were promised this by the Conservatives time and time again since 2018 and publishing this bill is the first step to deliver our promise on this.

Thank you to all the constituents who have spoken to me about this, shared their personal stories with me and have supported my work in this area.
