1- World athletics federation is going to live stream @RwenzoriMarathn just like they do with LONDON MARATHON, NEW YORK MARATHON ETC.

Millions will watching Live from across the Globe. The world will watch Uganda!

2- BBC is coming to do a story on @RwenzoriMarathn 2026 for the radio and TV, crew is set to arrive a week before the marathon.

3 - We are finalizing a discussion with 2 Africa broadcasters and hopefully we agree on something this week.

4– @robwalkertv( ROB WALKER) has committed to commentating ( at no cost due to his love for UGANDA) along side MARTIN KEINO and our own @andrewkabuura.

SAD NEWS

5- We had agreed with DREAM TEAM TV( google them) who cover world majors( world top marathons) to do a 26 minutes which was going to reach between 500m to 1bn( not kidding) but how we handle info killed it and hopefully next year God willing.

They have work in the US first week of September and since we have been blacklist, they wouldn’t have the 21days required.

It was going to be Ugandas biggest move in PR. @robwalkertv had helped us achieve that. That’s how much @robwalkertv loves Uganda.

Bwana hon @Thomas_Tayebwa, my proposal in the next parliament is that we start a tourism week, like one we did once under @RebeccaKadagaUG.

That week, we shall engage MPs about how tourism can get their voters out of poverty. We shall have private sector members exhibit at parliement, members can have one on one discussions.

We shall identify tourism attractions across the country and educate members of parliament about how those can generate wealth.

We shall discuss the possibility of members of parliement to invest in tourism and business in general.

We also want to make sure many of members of parliement come to kasese during @RwenzoriMarathn just to see how activities like Rwenzori marathon create massive economic opportunities.

My desire to see that each leader is able to atleast employ 50 people from their investment from their earnings. That will help MPs understand how the economy actually works. Some do.

I can’t wait to engage you after the election hon @Thomas_Tayebwa soon.

Rwanda ( UCI) World championship

Rwanda is hosting world cycling championship happening in Africa for the first time ever whole of this week.

They actually beat Morocco as their major competitor in the bid and when this for example was held in Scotland in 2023, over 200m pounds were earned.

These events attract massive spend by riders, fans and millions and millions of dollars worth of PR and media coverage.

They are using it to market all other attractions in Rwanda

Just look at the media focus on Rwanda below;

The event starts today in Kigali, Rwanda, to 28 September.
