It's sad to see everybody repeatedly saying 'enough' after every incident. We all know it's gone way too far and we're hoping each incident will become the real watershed moment, but nothing ever happens. Everybody is waiting for someone else to do something.
@georgemillo Ah ok, fair enough. Will still be surprised if the full details are released but perhaps too much noise to hide this one. I'm abroad at the moment so my BBC News page is somewhat skewed away from UK news.
@bestweather_ Very true. One of the more noticeable difference between public squares in Portugal and Spain. I suppose itโs cheaper and easier to maintain nothing at all.
@AdvBikerUK@cfdownes_@GoodwinMJ Equal dislike is probably a bit strong but either way I just want to step over Reform. England is lost, potentially forever, and I am a father of two. Itโs last chance saloon. Vote for what you believe in and hope others do the same. I have no time for Reform; I donโt trust them.
@PolitlcsUK Buddying up to Zelenskyy in the way we have has been so incredibly stupid; itโs one of the most corrupt nations in the world. Good luck to them but stay out of it.
Ignore Reform's fearmongering; it makes no huge difference if Burnham or Starmer are in control. Labour are toast either way, and if Burnham does accelerate the decline, it'll only make people more angry and the push back even bigger. Vote for who you believe in.
@frankwrighter@RestoreBritain Absolutely right. From the very beginning Reform have been nothing but a vibes party thriving off the back of a nation's rejection of everyone else. Even now, there still isn't any real substance to any of it. Handing a significant carte blanche mandate to them is highly risky.
@GoodwinMJ@cfdownes_ Address the accusation rather than rambling whataboutery. You are the self-styled voice on demographic change and yet even with this vast knowledge, you've still not come up with a single idea of how to reverse it and attack all that do. Why is Charlie wrong?
@tiagopita@marcupas As an expat in the Algarve, a lot of my day-to-day services are roughly the same price as in the UK. I've paid 50+ euros to have my dog groomed for an hour. Other expats know this and charge this. There is money here and money to be made.
@Danjsalt I think heโs right - nobody does care. I mean, they do care but everyone is so tired, theyโre just on autopilot now. The blandness and misery of every day life has been normalised. The complacency is the scariest part - is there a strong enough appetite for real change?
