@heydave7 Great post and top of mind for all my parents, including me and my wife. The only two things I can anchor on are 1) we have to be super engaged to help them early and 2) we have to support them with opportunities to dream, be creative and find their strengths early.

There are many paths to success. He's not wrong - it's just which path helps minimize risk and maximizes time to success. I was fortunate that by working, I also found my future business partners that were older and provided wise perspective that helped me avoid mistakes early on.
