Robert Monroe claimed something so strange that even decades later, people still can't stop arguing about it.

In Far Journeys, Monroe described Earth as being surrounded by invisible "bands" or resonant layers of consciousness.

According to him, these aren't symbolic realms. They're structured informational environments where consciousness naturally clusters according to frequency, belief systems, psychological state, and energetic resonance after physical death.

The first layers, he wrote, are filled with minds still locked into physical reality. Some don't even realize they're dead.

Others continue replaying routines, habits, addictions, and unfinished identities, unable to perceive anything beyond the reality they expect.

Then comes what Monroe considered the most important discovery.

A massive "belief-system territory." Not heaven. Not hell.

A self-organizing field where billions of consciousnesses reportedly generate shared realities entirely from expectation.

Every religious certainty, every philosophical worldview, every assumption about the afterlife supposedly becomes a collective experiential environment.

Reality isn't assigned; it is constructed by resonance. The more rigid the belief, the more stable the shared environment becomes. Monroe argued that consciousness doesn't simply observe reality. Consciousness generates it.

That raises an uncomfortable question.

If consciousness creates experience through expectation...How much of what we call "reality" is actually perception stabilized by agreement?

During later experiences, he claimed to witness Earth thousands of years in the future. The dark concentric bands were gone.

In their place existed a single luminous ring carrying coherent information rather than chaotic thought. Humanity no longer identified primarily with biological bodies.

Physical forms became temporary "containers" that consciousness could enter or leave at will.

Learning wasn't sequential anymore. It occurred through direct experiential downloads, what Monroe called "compressed learning," where entire lifetimes of perception could be integrated almost instantly.

Colonel Łukasz Ciepliński. Arrested by the communist secret police in November 1947. After three years of bestial interrogation — during which he was carried to sessions on a stretcher, because they had broken his hands and his legs — he was sentenced to death by the communist authorities. Executed in 1951 in Mokotów Prison, Warsaw.

He wrote that letter to a son he would never hold.

This is who they murdered. A man who wanted to be a father and a friend. A man who, with broken bones, still refused to give them what they wanted. A man whose last act was a letter written in tears to a child who would grow up without him.

This is what communism was. Not a failed economic experiment. Not a misguided but well-intentioned social project. A system that broke men’s hands and legs in basement interrogation rooms, and then shot them, and then buried them in unmarked graves, and then lied about it for decades.

The Wall didn’t fall far enough. The beast changed its clothing. The names it murdered are still waiting to be remembered.

And, the 4 phrases he uttered weren't instructions to them.

They're instructions to himself:

• I'm sorry
• Please forgive me
• Thank you
• I love you

That's the entire protocol.

He repeated these while holding their file.

While thinking of them.

While acknowledging his role in their existence on their reality.

But how did it work?

Neuroscientists now know that holding resentment, anger, and blame literally reshapes your prefrontal cortex.

Your thoughts about someone change their neural pathways in YOUR brain.

When you release blame, you rewire yourself.

And something bizarre happens: they often change too.
Think about it this way.

You're not healing them directly.
You're healing your perception of them.
You're removing the energetic charge you've placed on their existence.

The moment you stop seeing them as guilty, dangerous, or broken, something shifts.

They sense it. They respond to it.

Dr. Len's insight was, "you can't change someone's behavior by confronting them. You change it by changing how you hold them internally."

By taking responsibility for how they show up in your reality.

By forgiving the part of yourself that attracted this person into your story.

So, the 4 phrases work because they bypass the conscious mind.

"I'm sorry" = I take responsibility for my role in this
"Forgive me" = I release the judgment I've been holding
"Thank you" = I recognize this person taught me something
"I love you" = I see their wholeness despite their actions

Repeat this 100 times a day and your nervous system reprograms.

When you genuinely forgive—not for them, but for you—something neurological shifts.

Your nervous system relaxes.
Your perception opens.
You see possibilities instead of problems.

And paradoxically, the people you forgive often transform.

Because you stopped projecting your pain onto them.

Start today.

➸ Pick one person who still has a charge for you.
➸ Repeat the 4 phrases 50 times while thinking of them.
➸ "I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you."

Track what happens to your nervous system. To your thoughts about them.

The deeper you go with Ho'oponopono, the more you realize: everyone who appears in your reality is a mirror.

They're showing you something unhealed in yourself. Which means healing is always possible. Because the only person you can ever truly change is you.
