My new website is now live. While there's a LOT of work to do, the "News" section is active and it didn't make any sense to not publish it as there is a LOT of major news coming out almost every day. #Peru https://t.co/uNqAzZ9QxA
I will now be tweeting about news on Peru at @PeruTravelnLife as I am expanding my focus from Cusco to all of Peru (as much as possible). I encourage everyone to follow me there as I won't be making updates here.
The Delta variant of COVID continues to spread across Peru, albeit very, very slowly. Only 199 known cases more then 2 months after first discovered here. #Peru#COVID#COVID19#coronavirus https://t.co/JvYMFe2RJb
Over 750,000 COVID vaccinations were administered over the weekend in Peru which far exceeded the goal of 600,000. #Peru#COVID#COVID19#vaccine#vaccination https://t.co/ljqHJj1Flj

The latest report from Peru's Ministry of Health says that 54.7% of the population has received at least one vaccination dose. 23.9% are fully vaccinated. #Peru#COVID#COVID19#cornavirus#vaccine#vaccination
Peru's Congress is resuming debate this morning on whether to extend a vote of confidence to the Council of Ministers after suspending debate after six hours yesterday. #Peru#government#politics
@hugosalinas How would the markets react if there was a more centrist administration with qualified, experienced Ministers? Nothing holds back a country's economy more than instability and uncertainty.
Today Peru's Prime minister and members of the cabinet will go before Congress to present the administrations plans and ask for a vote of confidence in what could be a historical day for the country. #Peru#government#politics
I have a feeling that Peru's administration will grudgingly receive Congress' vote of confidence in a close vote, but the future is very, very uncertain. #Peru#government#politics https://t.co/D2GRQqfF2L
@PuliRufai Castillo has little support. Bellido has even less. If Congress does not give that vote of confidence then it's possible the next PM appointee may be even worse which will likely cause the country to line up for another Constitutional crisis. Or worse.
