@JamieCropley @brave Pinning is 100% a Chrome/Brave thing, internal to the browser. There's zero support in the API for pinning/unpinning, so Extensity can't do much about it.

I was meant to build pinning "memory" features, and looking for browser support for a while, but so far nothing yet.

@JamieCropley @brave And yes, you're correct. Unpinning just hides the icon, but the extension remains active, as well as its memory and CPU consumption.

I get the "usefulness" of unpinning extensions that don't really need a popup menu there, but the implementation itself is misleading.
