I harped on it because it seemed to me like people were trying to cover up its presence there. Maybe y’all were just not looking closely, if so I apologize. It just seemed like deliberate obfuscation at first.

@GatorsScott @GGG_regory @RJIML4744 It’s obviously a different photo, but it’s visual evidence that they did at least display the confederate flag in the stands around that time. But you shouldn’t need to see the photo I posted to be able to recognize the confederate flag.

@GGG_regory @RJIML4744 @GatorsScott It’s very obviously the confederate flag even from the first image. Hard not to feel like people are being intentionally obtuse to avoid an unpleasant reality.

@GGG_regory @RJIML4744 @GatorsScott It really doesn’t. The colors are reversed from the state flag. The state flag doesn’t have stars (or any pattern) in the lines of the cross. The state flag’s seal more than covers the whole intersection of the cross. None of that is the case in the first image.

@GatorsScott @GGG_regory I was born and raised in Florida. When I moved out of state I had the state flag of Florida hanging on my wall for years. I do not support glorifying the confederacy. But we don’t need to lie about the history of racism and the usage of the confederate flag in the south.
