@RogerMarshallMD@JerryMoran@RepDerekSchmidt Kansas SB 372: $7,500 fines per age mis-ID violation.
App stores won't risk it—they'll make everyone upload ID/biometrics.
De facto digital ID for Kansans, F-Droid/open-source too.
This isn't child protection; it's surveillance creep.
Kansas parents - not big tech - should get to decide what their kids can download and access online. Urge the Kansas House to pass SB 372 to empower parents with the tools to protect Kansas kids online.
@GlorySpaceCakes@MadamSavvy@not__vee Yeah I just wish there were some Morph patches to do the same for the Android app, I have like two accounts from South Africa whitelisted the rest of Africa and South Asia are blocked.
@FurbyPerson@BrodieOnLinux I'll take Anubis over Cloudflare any day. It doesn't break my eReader or TTS apps, at worst I have to open a webview once in a while.
@node_kp@IntCyberDigest No in fact there was pushback and non of the automated AUR helpers like paru and yay are in the Arch package repo and the wiki for AUR helpers has a red warning at the top. https://t.co/yROgeYp6Eo
@FirearmFury Or, you know, buy some more magazines and just load them while you're watching a shitty movie or something. Then you can just shoot at the range instead of this.
@toweypat@fakehistoryhunt Easier to maintain and it gives you a plenum which allows you to do central air, lighting, networking, fire code, all that stuff much easier it just looks like shit, but it's cheap shit.
@BrodieOnLinux I do vaguely remember there being some pushback against AUR helpers for this very reason. The AUR was originally meant to be used the "Arch way".
@useless2764@BrodieOnLinux Bin just indicates that it's a precompiled binary. If it doesn't say bin, it should compile the current-ish release on your system. Git pulls and compiles whatever the latest commit is. Bin does not mean it's official in any sort of way.
@KazahanaEdits I've never liked the concept of collectible playing cards. The concept of bullshit artificial scarcity in a game meant for kids just seems fucked.
@cremieuxrecueil Jones Act needs revising, but it's good law. Congress just needs to provide the shipbuilding loans they're supposed to, so vessels recirculate into the reserve fleet and ship's yard stay afloat. They haven't. But hey, if you want Chinese-built ships crewed at slave wages, fine.
@sediq_abub@Pirat_Nation They're also insecure as fuck and rarely receive security updates. Shark I'm talking about you. And stop working if you don't let them ping some random time server twice a second. Fuck you Dreame...
@nypost Sometimes you manage to do some real good journalism, but most of the time you do this tabloid shit... I guess "a broken clock is right twice a day" applies here.
@Skyebrows I don't know why but the videos making me think of that pseudoscience binaural beats/magic frequency crap that helps you meditate, unlocks your mind's eye, repairs your DNA, and cures <insert ailment here>.
