Research emphasis could include marine ecology, evolution, physiology, molecular biology, conservation biology, coastal processes, nearshore oceanography, global change biology or biogeochemistry, with a preference for researchers with interest in tropical, nearshore, field-based research. Candidates whose research spans multiple disciplines are welcomed. The successful candidate will have outstanding opportunities to develop an independent research program, form global collaborations, mentor post-doctoral fellows and graduate students from an international community, collaborate with Smithsonian staff and the Marine Global Earth Observatory (MarineGeo; https://t.co/3sEeKGcF66), and engage an international pool of post- and pre-doctoral fellows, undergraduates and interns with tropical marine biology.

📣 The Coral Accelerator Program (CAP) 2024 is now open 📣
CORDAP is seeking the best minds worldwide to secure a safe future for corals. We encourage teams with concepts that cross different disciplines and fields to participate.
International research teams should be collaborative, innovative and passionate about finding scalable solutions to protect and restore these incredible ecosystems. Proposed technologies should be scalable and affordable to those who need them most.
International teams should include:
👉 At least three members: one Lead Applicant and a minimum of two Co-Applicants
👉 Organisations from at least two different countries, including one low or middle-income country.
Successful applicants can receive up to USD$ 1.5 million per project.
The deadline for submission is October 21, 2024. A Q&A webinar will take place September 18, 2024, UTC and UTC.
