STATE-SPONSORED TERRORISM IN THE GUISE OF XENOPHOBIA? TIME FOR THE AFRICAN UNION TO HOLD THE SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABLE FOR ITS ACTIONS
AND WHY DISCERNING NIGERIANS MUST NOT ALLOW THE RAGING (PFIPC) SCANDALS TO DIVERT ATTENTION FROM THE SAFETY OF THEIR FELLOW CITIZENS ABROAD
By every objective measure, discerning Nigerians have watched with profound concern the raging PFIPC scandal presently dominating the nation’s political landscape. The allegations surrounding the Presidential Economic Promotion Council and the attendant public debate have understandably occupied the front pages. Yet, the historical pattern of political scandals in Nigeria teaches us that political scandals, regardless of how sensational, often fade into oblivion, sometimes without accountability, sometimes without consequence, and frequently without institutional introspection. Same will be the portion of the present debate. Give it one more month; it will be consigned to the things forgotten and past. This is Nigeria for you. Chi-fo anu ozo. A nation of endless tragedy!
For this reason, I deliberately refrained from joining the fray.
Not because the issues are unimportant, but because another matter of infinitely greater consequence continues to unfold beyond our borders, a matter involving the dignity, security, property, and lives of Nigerians resident in the Republic of South Africa, where the South Africa-backed terrorist are on the rampage.
One of the most disturbing developments has been public remarks attributed to a supposed spokesperson of the South African Government concerning Nigerians whose businesses and properties have been abandoned and forcibly taken away by South Africa-backed foot soldiers following waves of xenophobic terrorism. Rather than reassuring the international community that South Africa remains committed to the protection of all lawful residents, irrespective of nationality, the remarks, ostensibly coming from a heavily drunken, arrogant, and reckless South African spokesperson, appeared dismissive and deeply insensitive. If accurately reported, such comments represent a tragic departure from the diplomatic restraint expected of public officials and fall far below the standards expected of a constitutional democracy.
It is both regrettable and dangerous when an entire nationality becomes casually associated with criminality. Such sweeping generalisations offend every known principle of civilised governance.
International law could not be clearer.
Article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights guarantees that every person is entitled to the rights and freedoms recognised therein without discrimination of any kind.
Article 7 further guarantees equality before the law and equal protection against discrimination.
Article 17 protects every person’s right to own property and prohibits arbitrary deprivation of that property.
Similarly, Articles 2, 3, 5, 12, and 14 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights guarantee equality before the law, respect for human dignity, freedom from discrimination, freedom of movement, and the right to property.
The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights equally obliges State Parties to ensure equal protection of the law without discrimination and guarantees freedom of movement and equal treatment under Articles 2, 12, and 26.
Furthermore, the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination imposes an unequivocal obligation upon States to eradicate racial discrimination in all its manifestations and to guarantee equality before the law irrespective of national origin.
These are not lofty academic ideals.
They are binding international obligations voluntarily assumed by modern democratic States, including the Republic of South Africa.
Consequently, any environment in which foreign nationals become recurring targets of organised heinous xenophobic attacks, while their businesses are destroyed or abandoned without effective protection or meaningful accountability, raises profound questions regarding the discharge of those international obligations.
One cannot discuss South Africa without remembering the immense sacrifices made by Nigeria and countless African nations during the anti-apartheid struggle. Nigeria invested enormous diplomatic capital, financial resources, and political goodwill in support of South Africa’s liberation. That history is well documented, and today, the half-naked morons backed by the most irresponsible Government of South Africa have forgotten this contribution towards the emancipation of the forefathers of these marauders.
Every lawful Nigerian abroad deserves the full protection of diplomatic engagement. Their nationality should never become a licence for intimidation. Their investments should never become trophies of lawlessness. Their humanity should never become negotiable.
The time has therefore come for African leaders to rise above diplomatic platitudes and demonstrate that the ideals of African solidarity extend beyond ceremonial declarations.
Justice delayed emboldens intolerance. Silence legitimises impunity.
And indifference, history teaches us, is often the most dangerous accomplice of injustice.
The protection of every African on African soil is not merely a political obligation.
It is a legal duty.
It is a moral imperative.
It is the ultimate test of whether Pan-Africanism is a living principle, or merely an attractive slogan.

Mike Arnold Challenges Trump's Claim: Christian Genocide in Nigeria Far from Over
Former U.S. Mayor and Christian activist Mike Arnold has sharply criticized President Donald Trump's recent assertion that the United States has "largely ended" the Christian genocide in Nigeria. Arnold, a vocal advocate who has made multiple trips to Nigeria's displacement camps and front lines, warns that the situation remains dire and that the Trump administration is being misled.
In statements circulated on social media and interviews, Arnold argues that recent U.S. strikes primarily targeted ISIS-linked militants, leaving the Fulani militias whom he identifies as responsible for the majority of attacks on Christian communities untouched. "It's not true. And he's being played," Arnold stated. "The strikes hit ISIS. The Fulani militias who do most of the actual killing were never touched."
The U.S. recently withdrew most of its troops from Nigeria following a counterterrorism operation in the Lake Chad Basin area aimed at degrading Islamic State (IS) capabilities. U.S. officials described the mission as successful, with significant degradation of IS leadership. Trump linked the withdrawal to progress against violence targeting Christians.
Arnold, however, calls this premature and dangerous. He contends that the broader pattern of violence against Christians, involving mass killings, village destructions, church burnings, and displacement of millions persists. He points to ongoing neglect in IDP (internally displaced persons) camps, where victims, many of them widows and orphans from jihadist attacks, receive little government support. Without sustained pressure, he predicts escalation.
Arnold, founder of Africa Arise International, has long documented what he describes as systematic targeting of Christians in Nigeria's Middle Belt and beyond. He urges Americans to contact the White House and push for continued action, warning that declaring victory too soon could embolden perpetrators and undermine efforts to protect vulnerable communities.

Me-Peter Obi leave Nigeria politics , focus on being part of those to liberate your people from the contraption called Nigeria . You will loose your life for nothing if you continue this Nigerian dream of Igbo President .

Victims of attack by gunmen on Irigwe community of Angwan Magaji, Kamaru Ward, Kauru LGA, Kaduna State, in the night of 16th June 2026 were buried amidst tears.
Nine people were killed and 11 persons sustained various degrees of injury.
During the attack, many of the victims that could not run — including children and the elderly — were slaughtered and left in pools of blood.
While President Bola Tinubu claims his government is implementing new security measures to address the rising insecurity in the country, the recent attacks in southern Kaduna show that whatever security measures implemented are not working.
Amnesty International urges Nigerian authorities to protect the people and to make sure that those suspected of responsibility for the horrific killings in Angwan Magaji are held accountable.
We are calling on the government to ensure that an immediate, thorough and impartial investigation takes place to bring perpetrators of this atrocity to justice.

In November 2025, We Watched The Nigerian State And Their Kangaroo Court In Abuja Sentence Mazi Nnamdi Kanu To Life Imprisonment On Fabricated Terrorism Charges After a Sham Trial.
They Illegally Renditioned Him From Kenya In 2021 Like a Common Criminal, An Extraordinary Rendition That Even The United Nations Working Group On Arbitrary Detention Condemned As a Violation Of International Law. They Kept Him In Solitary Confinement For Years. They Denied Him a Fair Trial. And When The World Was Watching, They Still Handed Him Life In Prison In Sokoto, Far From His People, While His Appeal Crawls Through Their Corrupt System.
This Is Not Justice; It Is a Profound Injustice.
We Look At Nigeria Today. The Entire Country Is On Fire Under Tinubu’s Disastrous Rule. Hunger Is Everywhere. The Naira Is In Freefall. Inflation Is Choking The Poor. Bandits And Terrorists Kidnap Schoolchildren At Will And Slaughter Innocent Nigerians With No Real Consequence. The Government Even Negotiates With And Pays Them. Yet These Same People Have The Audacity To Call Mazi Nnamdi Kanu a Terrorist For Demanding For The Betterment Of His People.
This Government Has Continued To Focus Enormous Attention On The Prolonged Detention Of One Man Whose Message Awakened The Political Consciousness Of His People And Encouraged Them To Demand Fairness, Justice, And Equal Treatment, Instead Of Directing That Same Energy Toward Combating The Insecurity, Terrorism, And Banditry That Continue To Plague The Country. Threats Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Repeatedly Warned About Long Before They Escalated, Warnings That The Government Failed To Heed.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s Continued Detention Is Pure Hatred Against The Igbo Nation. His Continued Detention Is a Crime Against Humanity, a Grave Injustice And a Stain On The Principles Of Fairness And The Rule Of Law. We Therefore Call For The Unconditional Release Of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
FREE MAZI NNAMDI KANU.
Let Justice Prevail.

I don't think freedom and politics are separable. The two flows from both and merge together.
Politics isn't bad. Being a politician isn't bad. What is bad is a corrupt politician. Politicians aren't your enemies. Your enemy is corrupt politicians.
There is every need for freedom fighters to join hands with good politicians to secure freedom.
In fact, freedom fighters should work towards getting people with the mindset of freedom into power.
Imagine a situation where some members of House of Representatives and senators are men with freedom mentality. It will push the struggle far. It will take us to a stage where governors will be a supporter of freedom for Biafra. These freedom minded politicians might not be IPOB members, but distant supporters of IPOB and admirers of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
In this aspect, Ndị Igbo are lagging behind. Every Yoruba politician isn't against Oduduwa. They support Oduduwa and they are not afraid of standing with Oduduwa.
In 2014 Boko Haram named Buhari as their mediator. Buhari even said that an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north. This did not hinder him from ruling Nigeria. Never. He became a two times president of Nigeria.
So why can't an Igbo man support Biafra, revere Biafra flag, support Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and still be Nigerian president? Why is it that it is normal for a Fulani to support Boko Haram, recruit them into the military. It is normal for Yoruba politician to support Sunday Igboho and Oduduwa, but they want you to feel an Igbo supporting Biafra or Mazi Nnamdi Kanu already disqualifies him from becoming president? I am not trying to compare IPOB with Boko Haram, because they can't be compared. I am trying to expose the hypocrisy of the North.
This is where I salute the courage of Mr Peter Obi. When he went to USA he stated that he will release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu when he becomes president. Some few years ago he would have been afraid of saying such because he would feel it will hinder his chances.
But last four years he did not say it and they still rigged him out. So is it not better to say it now?
The likes of Sheriff will not make Igbo people feel inferior when they themselves support terrorists and still become president, but will want Igbo politicians to be afraid of saying they support Biafra and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It will not continue to be like that.
Dearest freedom fighter,
Be against corrupt politicians and not all politicians. We must support good people to takeover Ala Igbo.
Elochukwu Ohagi, Philosopher, Teacher and Activist, 2026.
Boko Haram terrorists are being "repentant" and recruited into the military. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who has never killed anyone, remains locked up for asking a question. Nigeria, explain this to us. #FreeMaziNnamdiKanu@realDonaldTrump@WhiteHouse

@alexottiofr please sir your attention is needed to this horror.
Security Alert !
Information we have indicates that more than 18 buses filled with the Nigerian army have just arrived in Abakaliki; their purpose is still unclear, but we advise all IPOB/ESN members to remain extremely watchful. Be aware of your surroundings to avoid becoming a target of their presence and kidnapping. Officers of IPOB, please be aware.
