An independent developer released "CS2FOW" today, an open-source server-sided project for CS2 that aims to reduce the effectiveness of wallhack in all kind of cheats.

Instead of sending data for every player at all times, the server only sends information about enemies when they can potentially be seen. According to the developer, this can also improve performance in some situations, by about 20–30% higher FPS. The project is currently available as open-source on GitHub.

In short, if an enemy is fully hidden behind solid geometry, the server stops sending that enemy data to the player. No enemy data means no wallhacks!

A developer on Reddit built a server-side anti-cheat that completely breaks ESP and radar hacks!

The server simply stops sending enemy coordinates to your PC while they are behind walls, leaving cheats with absolutely zero data to render. It flawlessly handles footstep sounds and pre-loads player models before they swing corners to prevent pop-ins.

Since your PC doesn't have to process hidden enemies, you actually get a 20-30% FPS boost!
