Are you sitting down?
There are 1.8 million NGOs and nonprofits handling $3.7 trillion in America per year.
Imagine the fraud and the destruction we’re funding.
It all has to stop.
Uncomfortable truth nobody admits - most parents are relieved when school resumes. And this is not exhaustion, it is conditioning. Public education and modern work have trained families to function apart, not together.
When prolonged time at home finally arrives, the discomfort is immediate. We have outsourced formation, structure, and even companionship to institutions, and the family is left without the habits required to sustain itself. What feels like a personal failure is actually systemic. This isn’t a dig at any parents out there. It is a critique of modernism.
I respectfully do not agree that Trump's statements are not materially different. Trump has gone even further in arguing for states like Arizona and Florida, specifically, to roll back their existing pro-life laws and kill more people. As opposed to the traditional GOP pro-life talking point "we're saving as many as we can" he (and Kari Lake) are now saying "we're not killing enough." He is actively positioning/lobbying against existing laws that protect life.
I don't recall ever seeing anything like that before, if only because those predecessors never had the chance to disappoint us thusly in a pre-Dobbs world.
But then that would speak to 2 other things:
1) For Trump individually to now attack pro-lifers from the Left after (thankfully) having a heavy hand in overturning Roe, is akin to Jehu purging the Northern Kingdom of Ahab and Jezebel, only to then re-install his own demonic idols. It's morally nonsensical, and politically self-destructive. Doomed to fail.
2) That despite over 40 years of slavish devotion to Republicans to save the babies, making all the same arguments for all the same Republican squishes we are making now, and being perhaps the largest and most loyal sector of the GOP base, the national pro-life political movement still cannot produce an authentically pro-life standard-bearer from within the allegedly pro-life party. It took about half that time for the Rainbow Jihad to accomplish this within the Democrat Party. In 1998, Bill Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act into law. Nowadays, you don't get elected dog catcher among Democrats if you're not willing to castrate your own children. How are they so much better at this than us? Could it be they haven't been as eager to compromise as we have been? "The children of men are smarter than the children of light" so is there something shrewd here we are missing?
This all being said, I agree with you that no message will be sent by withholding any votes. The GOP is too stiff necked, hates its base, and therefore has proven for going on a third decade now that no amount of losing will teach it anything simply because it doesn't want to learn. We are aligned with people who hate us by and large, albeit for different reasons than the Democrats also do.
This is why we have to capitalize on the rare moments when proven capable people of principle are running for standard-bearer positions like governor and president. Which the stiff-necked Fox News boomer base often refuses to do, as it just did once more in the presidential primary.
Again, this reply is submitted respectfully. Appreciate much of your commentary and have shared it with my following several times.
Does DeSantis still have a path to victory after Iowa❓
Let's take a look.🔎
What happened last night besides the obvious?
📈DeSantis overperformed the polls, significantly. We saw the same thing in FL elections. We can expect him to continue to do so in upcoming states.
☑️Trump & Haley both stayed within 1% of polling averages. Haley is attempting to broaden her lane in the GOP by appealing to the much larger populist & more conservative wings. That appeal did not seem to work last night. She's likely capped out with the old guard Bush-style GOP at around 20%.
🙏As of now, Trump still has most of the evangelical support, which is a bit surprising after many of his recent comments. Will that hold after more details of his criminal trials unfolds? We'll see.
📢DeSantis won the Gen Z crowd, which tend to be more politically active & vocal. Their activism could influence upcoming elections, giving him an edge.
❌Vivek, who got over 7% of the vote, dropped out after the Caucus. That vote will split between DeSantis & Trump, which does help Trump, but also gives DeSantis an additional edge over Haley.
👀The media violated their own rules & called the election before 99% of the vote was even made. This hit voters' phones, leading to multiple walkouts as people simply gave up before voting. By doing this, they played their hand on how badly they want the nominee to be Trump. They know he cannot win the general after convictions come down. Will this transparency wake some people up? We'll see.
🔥Nearly half the GOP does NOT want Trump. For a former GOP president, that's pretty rough. Trump's path to victory means splitting that not-Trump vote & that's down to 2 - DeSantis & Haley.
Altogether, DeSantis finished 2nd in Iowa, outperformed polling averages by 6 points, and demonstrated that he's a contender.
With Vivek dropping out, he'll pick up some of that vote. And he's already in Trump's lane, while also appealing outside of it. His appeal is overall much broader than Haley's.
As Trump's electability weakens, DeSantis is the #1 backup plan for most of those current Trump supporters.
There are 2 major factors that will determine this race...
1. How long Haley stays in to divide the vote.
2. How quickly Trump's support weakens as his criminal trials commence.
Many other factors could also play a part, like Trump's health, the 14th Amendment issues, and financial issues from lawsuits for Trump. He has many barriers.
But none of those are things I would wish on him or count on. They're just real-life factors.
Ultimately, yes. DeSantis still has a clear path to victory, but it's going to be a long, hard-fought battle.
And that's okay.
I'll be here for it every step of the way.
Because American really is in decline. We need an American comeback & Trump will not be electable to provide it, even if he intends to keep every promise (he kept 23% last time...)
DeSantis is the only person who can both get elected in the general AND implement an America-first conservative agenda, for 8 years!
Trump cannot get elected and Haley wouldn't lead as a principled conservative. She's already started to cave.
DeSantis is still our only real choice.
Like Ron DeSantis, my principles and values are unshakable.
If you think, for even a second, that I'm wavering because of the results of Iowa, you're sorely mistaken.
Right is right.
DeSantis is the ONLY conservative running.
If the GOP decides they no longer want Conservatives, that shame lays at their feet.
As for me, I'll ALWAYS support actual principled candidates.
I'm #withDeSantis through the National Convention.
Excited to share that as a #FaithVoter, I've found my caucus location thanks to https://t.co/HHlDI26qSL! It's empowering to let my beliefs guide my voice at the polls. 🙏🗳️ #IowaCaucus https://t.co/hw6dX9XplQ
@chiproytx And we need you, sir to go with him in this battle as VP. Eight years and more against the Philistines. And someone who can carry the sling if… God forbid, something evil happens to the president.
@RMConservative I’ve seen ppl on X, (here & U.K.), mention Turbo Cancers. Wasn’t sure what to make of it.
But a friend’s son, does blood analysis at Frederick Memorial Hospital (about an hour north of D.C.)-said her son said, they’re seeing cancers like they’ve never seen. So I know it’s true.
This might turn out to be the story of our lifetime. I don't think we have begun to scrape the surface and emotionally prepare ourselves for the cancer bomb https://t.co/ijQ9xl7m0Q
