Thanks to #SyriaHumanitarianFund@UNOCHA@FAO will implement a USD 5M project to assist 17 300 farming households in Northeast #Syria.

🤝The first Ministerial Roundtable at #NERC38 focused on fragile & climate-sensitive contexts, highlighting integrated approaches to strengthen resilience, livelihoods & social cohesion.
Discussions explored policies to boost innovation, value chains & agricultural biodiversity.
The workshop was attended by the Minister for #Emergency & #Disaster Management—sending a strong signal of support for strengthening Anticipatory Action Systems against natural and human-induced hazards.
As part of the €210M humanitarian aid package for Syria, the EU dedicated €6M to disaster preparedness.
On 14 April, @FAO#Syria & partners joined an @eu_echo workshop to discuss actions for the establishment of a Multi-Hazard Early Warning System.

These efforts support government-led interventions by contributing to the operation of excavators for embankment reinforcement – helping to contain floods, protect agricultural land, livelihoods, and communities.
Flooding in the southern #Aleppo is putting 30,000 hectares of farmland & 300 farming families at risk.
@FAO has mobilized rapid protection measures to reduce the impact of potential flooding and mitigate the risk of further devastation.
As the Senior Officers’ Meeting concludes, a strong message emerges: together, through partnership, innovation, and shared commitment, the region can build resilient and sustainable agrifood systems for future generations. #NERC38
